:o I new it would get harder and the start of the week was a fluke because I was coming home at lunchtimes :o

No more to report - popped into shop in nearby town that sells the fabric conditioner I like (and doesn't upset my eczema:T) as I was there (rather than having to make a special trip for it shortly) so that ruined today's effort.

Already ruined tomorrow as forgot to get milk while I was there

On the bright side - it's been a lovely day & had a really nice walk with Maisie on the beach :)

Need to get a move on & get the huge chicken casserole in the oven!

well i was hoping for a 4 in a row but has eluded me

but i dont feel down as i was taking the opportunity to be pro active with my car maintenance ...sounds techno but that meant i filled up the windscreen washer :rotfl: used to be OH job but now i am a singly i took bull by horns

being brave i thought i would check my oil levels ( after close consultatin with the manual ;)) they are on low side below the first notchy hole thingy so i had to google exactly what oil i was needing
out of my comfort zone there as i am only used to corn or vegetable oil :D
i never knew there was so many different types and the prices

so i have been googling to find the cheapest which didnt involve highly inflated postage ( one company after its initial looking cheapest wanted £17.50 delivery !!! yeah ...right...

my local wee garage wanted £14.99 a litre but i have got some from MR a**a for £35 for 4 litres getting delivered to my localish store so i wont have to wait too long for it ( i have even recorded my spend in my notebook too ..

so though an unexpected spend i dont mind if it keeps my motor out of the garage

who knows i may even venture into the world of tyre pressure when i go to pick up my oil on Monday :rotfl:

back in the land of the living now i have finished my night shifts for a while so am enjoying a wee glass of something nice in front of my wood burner.....life in the fast lane

loving reading everyones posts and it keeps me away from spendy sites though i did peek at the mandm link kerri gt but hastily came out of it again ( nice top though :D)

thanks to ETOandMissE for keeping updated

    have a great weekend
    JD xx

Well done on the car maintenance jammy don't be afraid of the tyre pressure, there should be a table in the manual that shows what they should be, and theses days all the air machines, or most, are digital so you just take the dust caps off your tyres, put your money in the machine to start the air, type in the pressure you need and then press the end of the hose to the air valve of the tyre. You can see the pressure numbers go up as the tyres fill, then the machine beeps when it gets to the level you set, quickly pull the nozzle off the tyre, and repeat. You get plenty of time for the money too.

Well NSD #8 here. Sorted through my wardrobe, have a pile of clothes for cloth / bin, pile for a car boot and one for 'remove from wardrobe / draws and see in 6mths if I've missed it' if not, it goes out. Oh and a pair of jeans that need a new zip.

Seem to have quite a lot going out, but oddly not a whole lot more closet space.

Bit of grocery shopping earlier (£20) but that was house money so doesn't count. HM pizza for dinner, with two bases to freeze. OH said it was the best he's had...rod for my own back there lol.

Plan to hit the sales tomorrow, although will prob find nothing I like. Watch this space....

    May manage one tomorrow.

    fingers crossed.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Morning all,

Hope everyone is well ~ those NSDs are really stacking up this month!

I'm pleased to report NSD #6 for yesterday. I had thought I would have to pay out for something but it didn't happen. I was feeling quite poorly yesterday so pottered about at home on my own whilst DH and DC went out with friends for the day. They came back happy and tired :D. Feeling slightly more human today so no doubt we'll be out and about.

Can't believe we're nearly mid-month! It'll be half-term before you know it
