Evening all, declaring nsd #1 for yesterday :A

Spend day today, friend came over for lunch so I made French onion soup (1kg of onions is quite a lot to peel I found out ) but needed to pop up the shop for a fresh French stick. Now have three potions of soup left and no room in the freezer

OH did win £2.80 on the NYE euro millions which when said I could have, so 'technically' I'm in profit today, except I'm fairly sure I paid for the ticket in the first place and it had two lines on. Plus under my 2014 rules, that still wouldn't count as a NSD :A

Wet and windy here too. Slightly worried as the downpipe at the bottom of our house was overflowing at ground level last night, just hope it was the unusual volume of rain and not something blocked as it's not one that's easy to access.

I am such a mean mummy: I took the kids to the park today (that's not the mean bit :D).When my 4yo asked for an ice-cream from the ice cream van, thinking solely of my NSD's,I told her it was too cold for ice cream (it wasn't THAT cold 018.gif),told her we would have a hot chocolate when we got home instead, and she was happy with that.(I then spent the rest of the afternoon hoping I wouldn't have to waste my now-in-the-bag NSD buying extra milk :o).By the time we got home,we had all forgotten about the hot chocolate anyway.
    So,no freezing ice creams + no piping hot chocolate=NSD #2 today :T

  • Morning all,

Reporting in with NSD #1 & 2 for New Year's Day and yesterday. Today will be a spend day as need to get a gift for my niece before we go over for cake. I also need to get my car thoroughly cleaned so may do that today and get petrol at the same time. I want to see if I can get a few gifts in the sales this afternoon.

Another busy day for us, hope everyone is well! :j

No2 was an easy net yesterday, as I had one of my 'bleurgh' days :o Not exactly a 'can't-be-arrissed' but almost a 'you want conversation? You kaint handle conversation!' IYKWIM..No rhyme or reason for these moods to appear, but they do *sigh* & thankfully they don't hang around for too long. Que sara...
