I've got 3 Lloyds Vantage, 3 Halifax Rewards and 2 Bos Vantage accounts as well as the TSB Enhance account

They all use the same internet banking software but on different servers.

I noticed that both Lloyds and Halifax allowed me to click the link to open an additional account and I was then presented with the short application form.
TSB and BoS both presented me with the "we are unable to open a secondary account" message.
I then looked at the URL of the application form on the Halifax site, copied it and pasted it into the address bar when logged into TSB and changed the domain from "halifax" to "tsb". When I then loaded the page I was at the form to apply for an additional account.

I have successfuly applied for 2 additional accounts this way.
Also works for BoS where I have now also applied for additional accounts.

You're a genius. Ok, I've done as suggested and got through to the simplified questionnaire. At the end of it was told that if the account has been successful I'd get info in the post within the next 3 days. Did you get the same, or an automatic acceptance with account number and sort code?

Yes I got the same as you.
The new account appeared online a working day or two later. The paperwork turned up within a week.
You can use the new account as soon as it appears online.
Give it another day or two after that before applying for the third.

I have had one failure. My third BoS application has disappeared into thin air. No new account and no refusal. I may try again.

I followed the link for BoS on Wednesday evening after seeing the 'can't offer you a secondary account' message and exactly as reported above, the new account showed yesterday in my online banking.

    Thanks noh!

    I like your style! :-)

How comes you managed to get get 3 Halifax reward accounts?

Also does anyone know how you can refresh your balance if you make a FP in another window from another bank account? I seem to only be able to 'refresh' the balance if I log off/on.

Although it does appear to show in the transaction list.

    :-)
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

When they launched the account (back in Feb 2009) you could have 3.

If you select another account, the re-select the original one, you'll find the balance has updated on that account.

Anyone know if cheque books are given automatically for TSB Classic with Enhance accounts.

I have opened 3 last week and received cards and pins and was just wondering for security reasons if cheque books will be following.

I have also opened a Lloyds Vantage but yet to receive anything.

It seems like you have to request/order one. From your quick start guide...
If you’ve ordered a new credit card or cheque book, they’ll arrive within ten days.

I've always stated I don't require cheque book or card.

My first TSB account came with a card and pin but no cheque book.
My second and third TSB account came with a cheque book but no card or pin.

    I've no idea why.

    Thanks regarding the cheque books

Regarding funding can you just move £1000 from each account to the other online. Or do you need to transfer in externally the £1000 each.

Internal transfers are fine for this....
