  • People think it is made from mushrooms, making it a 'natural' product - very far from the truth! I get awful headaches and feel rubbish so don't eat any of their products now.

It's made from mycoprotein or fungal protein and, evidently, lots of people are allergic to it. My fiancee included.

Personally, I make a point of never eating anything that's named after a village in Leicestershire.

You ought to be able to pay for stuff in health food shops using money made from Quorn. "It's OK. It's just like the real thing". See how they [CENSORED] like it.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

Surely it can't be healthier to eat this processed muck than just reducing the amount of meat and increasing the amount of veg/pulses you use in recipes?

Bin it OP and adapt your recipes.

I can't eat quorn either it gives me severe stomach pain.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
  • Funny... I ate a peppered quorn steak thing last night... The first time I've EVER bought and eaten something from the range.

When I went to bed, I got strange pains down my left hand side, around rib level... It continued on and off for some hours, even switching to my right side for a while...

    I wonder...
I've still got one more "steak" in the packet, so we'll wait and see what happens when I eat that one.
Because it's fun to have money!

I was the illest I've ever been in my life after Quorn. Projectile vomiting for hours. It was Christmas Eve (a few years ago) and the doctor wouldn't come out so my poor OH had to cope.

Never again. I used to refuse to even have it in the fridge at home, but unfortunately OH who is a vegetarian likes it so I have to hope it doesn't contaminate anything else in there!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Dont eat it anymore but when I did, never had a problem with any of the quorn products, I would imagine some people might be sensitive to the mycoprotein.
  • A lot of people can't eat quorn it does come with a warning on the back of the packet my OH cannot eat it at all he had vomiting cramps with it i sometimes get a burning stomach with it but i still eat it.

If you google it you will see how many people can't eat it

  • It's healthy it's very low in fat much lower in fat than lean meat. The fillets are really nice and the lower fat sausages
