That was hardly 'weeks' ago was it and I did immediately read the pwa I think your comment was unfair. The planning officer has recommended legal representation which I am now doing and will get an agreement drawn up ASAP. Thanks for the attitude.

You asked why the criticism and I tried to explain from the POV of someone contributing to this thread.

Put more bluntly, it was because you were not responding to the main thrust of people's posts or answering questions posed by those trying to help you. Often, you seemed more intent on just having a rant. As a result, some of us began to wonder if you were for real.

But never mind all that, the important thing is that you are now responding relevantly to posters and doing whatever you can within the law to protect your interests. That's all that matters. :)

How much did it cost to get the PWA in place and what process was involved and how quick was it?

What is the current status of your neighbour's build now? We are building a large single storey extension on our property that we recently bought, but we have made a conscious decision to inform all neighbours well in advance and building some 2m inside our boundary.

We have a large detached and large garden so that helps, but I think it is important to notify neighbours, but I know sometimes you do get neighbours are against extensions for the sake of it, so it can make it difficult all round.

What makes you think it'll devalue your property? Many buyers might see next door's extension and think "oooh, looks like I could do that here" and want it.

this is the take I would have on this also, my relatives hope to extend so I am all for it. :) If they are within their boundary and cause no damage, hope all turned out well for Angie 12345, she never did get back to tell a blogger how much the PWA cost. Oh well.
    Good Luck. :)
