NSD today thanks to free car parking. If you don't ask... Also, no further bids on ebay but up to 13 watchers. Here's hoping for an end of sale frenzy. Got offer of a refund on hotel voucher or of value plus £20 additional credit. Think I will go for straight refund as it will reduce this months cc bill. Am also strongly resisting the purchase of a reduced price picture by one of my fav artists on the grounds that it isn't the one I most like. They do hold their value very well though. Think I've hit the middle of the month slump. Voucher refund being processed and yesterday was NSD. I'm just feeling a bit what's the pointish? And there's still two weeks to payday and I'm still not sure what my or OH's pay uplifts will look like. My knee is taking as long to heal as drs said but I had thought it'd be better sooner. And just when in the midst of a pity party, doorbell rang. Delivery of a lovely bunch of flowers from one of my friends in work. So lovely when someone makes an unasked for and unexpected day. Another NSD which has to be good. Also, cc statement emailed through. While it's higher than I wanted, that's not unexpected and we will still be able to put something into the savings pot at month end.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Today definitely not an NSD. Did the grocery shopping at mr s. Combined various multi buys and reduced items with double nectar card points and voucher for £12 off. Applying same thinking as last week, this means a £6 overpayment to be made to the mortgage. Totally flung caution to the wind and visited the takeaway in advance of going to see my mum. Total bill was £5.40 plus a £5 tip to one of the staff who was heading out for birthday drinks. There's no point in taking away all the joy! Not sure I'll be joyful come Sunday morning's weigh in but the chips tasted amazingMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Ebay item closed at £35 plus postage and has already been paid for. Another transfer to be made to the mortgage. Having read other diaries, I'm so grateful that I can make overpayments as and when. I know myself well enough to know that if I was saving for monthly or quarterly dates, it wouldn't happen as easily.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Well yesterday was a bit of an up and down day. Met a friend for coffee and an incredible piece of chocolatey, nutty, toffee dessert and she very generously paid. Stopped off in asda to buy some bits and pieces and spent £17. Got stuck in traffic so detoured briefly to lidl. Picked up some good buys for under a fiver and for no additional diesel cost as I was already at asda. For some reason, I am oblivious to managing car fuel. I think for me it's nearly on a par with income tax. Just something that is. On a plus, I stepped on the wii this morning and have managed to lose a pound. Need to do some mortgage ops, etc and then update the 2014 resolution thread. At least there are some positives to report.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Ok just did the transfer of mortgage OP. am now up to 12% of the quarterly target which am really pleased about given that the bulk will come at month end Jan / Feb / march.:rotfl: have also 2 items to go on the free posting weekend. haven't yet had my ebay money transferred from OH but have paid it over. if i can make it to month end with that still intact, i'll probably put half in savings pot and half off mortgage. Now off to update goals for 2014 thread!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. NSD pyjama day today. OH listed an item on ebay today. Also, found a hideously old money box that actually looked quite scary. Broke into it and recovered approx 20p and a stack of old coins. Dumped the money box and so the decluttering continues. Will see if there's any value in coins when I get around to it. Otherwise, a fairly uneventful day with one more item of clothing now en route to charity shop. Fingers crossed for tomorrow as I'm attempting my first full working day since knee surgery just over 2 weeks ago. Hopefully all will go well.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
