Take care Catt. Keep plodding folks it's definitely worth it. Having a weekend away and put new swimming cossie on. Dd's most impressed and I felt great. Two and a half stone lighter than this time last year and with a costume I feel comfortable in. X
  • Re yogurts - Rachel's organic fat free yogurt is free, and only contains yogurt. I find mullerlites much too sweet, though I will confess to liking the Turkish delight ones. But other yogurts are available!

I haven't been on here for a few weeks and have been reading back through the posts. hope your appointment goes well SC.

I have been messing around with SW recently. Lost the weight I'd gained over Christmas and then put it all straight back on again, plus some. I only gained 1/2 lb this week so hopefully have turned the tide. However since the end of September when I joined I have only lost 6lb overall which is pants compared to some of the losses on here and in group.

Anyway I am drawing a line and starting again from now.

Today so far I have had
    Apple banana and f/f yogurt
    Lunch will be homemade soup
Tea not sure but maybe SW chips with something.

I'm now going to earn some body magic by starting work on redecorating my bedroom. Have been putting it off as I hate sanding paintwork., once that's done I enjoy it.

Hugs all round, whether it's commiserations or congratulations.

Thank you to all those that have posted suggestions and supportive posts - it means a lot.

I was speaking to a friend on facebook and she asked if my consultant had texted to see how I was after my mahoosive gain. I haven't heard a peep. Does anyone get personal texts from their consultant? Is this the norm?

Anyway day back on plan, I had a massive fruit salad and an Activia fat free yog, for lunch I had more salad, cooked chicken, some more yogurt and a Satsuma. For tea I had prawns and chicken with more salad and another yogurt!

I don't usually eat these many yogurts but they were buy one get one free a Tesco so I thought it would fill me up. I know that they are prob full of nasty sweetners but at the moment they are hitting the spot. And I'd rather eat these then gorge on naughty foods.

Haven't done any exercise so am not being as holy as I could be, but haven't snacked on anything I shouldn't today.

Have also had 2 litres of water so will try and keep this up for the week.

Thanks again for all your words of encouragement, means a lot.

My consultant would probably find texting a bit too high tech. She's a lady of a certain age, and struggles to use the SW machines most weeks, bless her. She does give strugglers a call sometimes, but generally if she feels they need keeping on track. Did she see how upset you were last week?

In the meantime you've got us Becks, and it looks like you're doing well on the plan so far, so you should see a result next week.

I also had 3 yogurts yesterday, so it must have been the day for it! They're low in cals and fill me up, plus I've run out of bananas, which usually keep me full, and I'm sure that's why. I didn't have my HeB till the evening and figured magic porridge was better than a Special K bar nutrition wise. I've also done zero exercise and feel guilty.

Have a good day everyone. I've not planned today's food plan yet, so will pop back later.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I get texts from my consultant, either saying well done for a loss or something consoling for a gain. We also get motivational texts approximately once a week and we have a closed facebook page where we all help and support each other, as well as post pictures of what we are eating and recipe ideas to try. Yesterday someone posted a photo of an cheesecake made with an Alpenlight base! I'm so gonna try that!!

    Yesterday's Green Day menu

    B- 35g Sultana Bran (HEB1), chopped banana and 250ml's SSmilk (HEA1).

L - Roasted pepper stuffed with cooked savoury rice and a teaspoon of philladelphia extra light (1syn) in the middle, Linda McCartney Red onion and thyme sausages and salsa. Mullerlight yogurt.

Snack - HEB2 'doughnut' (1syn for jam). Thanks to whoever posted this idea, first I'd heard of it and it was quite tasty!

D - butternut squash pasta and HEA2 parmesan.
I had intended to have fruit salad afterwards but didn't as I was so full.

Syns for the day - 2.

Sending you a great, big hug catt.

I totally understand that SW is the last thing on your mind just now but If you want to come on and 'talk' or rant with your virtual friends it might help.:A

On the free food discussion: I always have my SF spread through the day rather than a meal at a time. So if I snack on 'free' food then I know I have to up the SFs accordingly as I'm really careful about having at least one third across the day. To me, if you scoff free food between meals then you're upsetting the proportion of SFs across the day. To me, having your SFs (especially veg) is one the most important parts of SW. The other is meal planning IMO.

When I was asked for a target I just conjured up a weight I remember being. It wasn't that important to be. What I really wanted was to be a small size 12 (I'm 5ft 9in). When I started SW I was ignorant of the fact that you don't need to set a target if you don't want to or you can start with a modest one and then change it whenever you like (provided it's 7lbs lower). If you go target free, you can just stop when you want to and call that your target.

So you're 'not quite in the normal category' beanie.:rotfl:

It's the weekend again so that means EE again and syns spent on wine!!!

Didn't have breakfast as DH was at work this morning and by the time he was home we decided we'd just have a fry up for Brunch.

Tonight's dinner will be the Brown Down chicken from the Jan/Feb magazine with corn on the cob. Will probably have it with boiled rice.

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.
    HEB toast

    Syns - butter 3.5; chipolata 2.5; wine ?

  • Very quiet on here today. I've had a quiet afternoon after running across town to get new tyres and new tax disc I've not had money to do much else!

Today has seen me munch through:

Cereal for breakfast, 3 satsumas, scrambled egg, 2 rashers or bacon, 2 ryvitas, a huge stirfry, grapes and a muller yogurt.

Not bad for a day when I went to the bakers this morning and bought fresh morning rolls, and 3 cream cakes ( my downfall) and then came home and gave them to their intended recipients without even having a lick! I may have another muller light later.

Ohhhhh and I've had copious amounts of tea, I've been running to the loo every 1/2 hour! The joys!

Hope everyone is having a restful Saturday x
