Was wondering are there any tips I could use to bring the premium down to that or is that final?
Price comparison I think my current insurer is the cheapest in my situation. Insurer = admiral.
That sounds suspiciously like you haven't run your details through any of the comparison sites, if you haven't then do so.
One tip, not mentioned, is move to a 'better area'.0 -
I've heard about this a few times now.
What's the rationale behind it? (Not that insurance companies use rational thought when it comes to dreaming up premiums)!!
Can't understand how on street parking could be deemed safer than in a garage?
In a busy area a [ublic road is well lit up and everyone and neighers and passers by will have their eyes on it. I presume burgelers love to break into unalarm, underlit garages. The spate of luxury car [BMW] jackings by cloning the remote key and pushing it out probably adds to the statistic.0 -

I've done a trial run a few months earlier on moneysupermarket the cheapest was £800 without any of the "negatives" like accident history (adding the negatives will probably bump up the quote to more than admiral). After peole's choice it was the typical gang, elephant, bell, admiral etc
My renewal date in 29th Jan so I will be looking around later next year.0 -

Street parking is now cheapest option.
I doubt that. Otherwise Ageas Optima would seldom quote who give some amazing rates for garaging endorsements.
What I think you meant to say was that the loading may be the same because insurers know hardly anyone puts it away in the garage0 -

Once again, the discussion is about DIRECT and MAINSTREAM insurers. Your panel of insurers will load differently because they are only offered through brokers like you.
So (amazingly) I actually meant what I said. DIRECT and MAINSTREAM insurers don't load the 2 risks similarly AT ALL.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

So you did the quotes without your accident history therefore aren't an accurate comparison  priceless.0 -

That's for pointing out the obvious. it really needed repeating. My renewal is at the end of jan. I was taking ball park estimates.
On a dummy quote without the disclosures admiral came to £850 (secondcheapest) , peoples choice came to £800 (but people's choice likes drivers with completely clean records).
With my current plan with admiral with everything disclosed the renewal is £990.
So for comparisons sake I know I am with the best insurer because on the dummy quote it came 2nd cheapest.0 -

No you don't. You know you are with the best if you were collision free but you aren't so you don't have accurate quotes to compare them too. People's choice could be £810 with a collision.
They way you are going your insurance company are going to smell a rat and you face having your renewal declined.0 -

prove it.
So if i delay shopping for best quotes until a few weeks before renewal, they are going to decline my insurance?0 -

No the fact you're submitting iffy insurance quotes.
Are you acting dense on purpose to get a reaction?0
