just got my automaticv renewal quote

Got quited just shy of 1 grand, last year was £1270, so improvement but I was hoping for £800ish with 2 yearc NC.

Was wondering are there any tips I could use to bring the premium down to that or is that final?

Price comparison I think my current insurer is the cheapest in my situation. Insurer = admiral.

Shop around, put the car in a garage. Get a girlfriend and add her to the policy.

Add an older experienced driver as a named driver. It normally brings down the price. The reasoning is that if there is a named driver on the policy, you won't be driving all the time and the risk is shared. If the named driver is mature and experienced, that part of the risk will be much lower and therefore that part of the premium will be lower.

adding a named driver where they are never going to be driving is insurance fraud. I was looking at bargaining tips. Can I say something like x is offering y to bring it down. Or give an ultimatum "I haven't shopped around for insurance quotes, but to save me some time if you're happy to offer me £800 I'll pay you right here, right now and won't look elsewhere" etc.

You can add who you like, it's not fraud.

You will need exact figures to play them off against. They will know if you bull5hit them.

You're buying insurance, not a used car from big Barry's 2nd hand car yard.

I'd imagine they'd laugh if you used that technique.

Garage parking is likely to increase the quote.

Street parking is now cheapest option.

No, admiral wont go for that.

Do a new quote on their site and then phone up to get it matched. You'll need to change your DOB by 1day to do a quote.

Insurance fraud is when you fail to declare business use etc.
