Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 29th December 2013

Hello everyone. Welcome to the Weekly Spend Challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in. Everyone is welcome here.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. The challenge runs from Sunday to Friday so we don't include Saturdays but feel free to change the rules to suit you and include Saturdays or start on a different day.

Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:

Green - within budget
Red - over budget
Purple - zero spend
Orange - made money over the week

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

Evening everyone hope you all had a lovely Xmas.

We had a lovely time, although little man has been very spoilt, I'm even keeping some pressies back for his birthday, he just got too much.

Anyway my plans for the week

Sun - NSD
Mon - going to hubby's dads for lunch, so out for the day, should be NSD
Tues - NSD
Weds - going to hubby's uncles for lunch, should be NSD
Thurs - getting nails done, budgeted. Take dress back to debs.
Fri - no plans, so NSD
Sat - my parents and sister round for my birthday tea (birthday following Monday) should have everything in, if not will be from grocery budget

So £10 again this week.

Could I join please? I'm not planning on going anywhere or doing anything this week (going anywhere is impossible with 4 kids!) so could you please put me down for £15 as a buffer in case anything comes up? Thanks

Boo! i'm RED with a total spend of £18/£10. Pre-christmas drinks came in at £15 and I also had a naughty £3 spend on a C0sta hot chocolate to keep me going when out and about in the sales with the in-laws. (I was strong though and resisted all sale temptations.)

Can I have £40 this week to include NYE spends?

Hi everyone!

I'd like to declare £1.66 spent this week on one cup of coffee lol!
I'd also like to pledge £5.00 for next week. I'm off to Glasgow next weekend for a couple of days so won't be around to log in and update until the following Tuesday.

Hope everyone has a great week and a successful challenge and all the best for an amazing New Year. For me 2014 will be the year everything changes and I'm ready. (A little Torchwood joke lol!)
