Evening! Sorry I haven't checked in, busy busy week - but I have been good, 5 full days of LTW! Despite travelling too - have found if I get all the fussy stuff for a salad ready on Sunday night, then assemble the night before, it seems to keep better than if I mix them all up days ahead.
Lots more salads planned for this week, am off to make a frittata from the Sunday roast leftovers which will do me & OH for a couple of days to go with the greens :T:TLBM Dec 2013, Total Debt £31,992.06 Debt Free Date June 20220 -
Hi all,
Have leek and potato soup made for tomorrow. I need to lose weight so I am trying trying to be healthy, only one slice of bread, pear, satsuma and a banana for tomorrow.
W2bese your post made me laugh. Blimmen tablet talk.. Of only I could make a man out of cake and cream....:rotfl: Wouldn't I make a fortune :rotfl: Glad your son has had a nice birthday.
I am also having a dry January so with that and the diet.. I should be a barrel of laughs by the of the week!!!:rotfl:
I think I have enough soup for three days which is great, low fat and very economical.0 -
hello everyone!
#69 reporting for duty and, yes I've just noticed my number :rotfl::rotfl::whistle:
Anyway.. yes..urm *mops brow*
I managed all 4 days last week so that takes me to 5/17 days
yay me!
I also.. wait for it.. made something more interesting than a cheese sarnie for my LTW tomorrow!!
I realised that I had all the ingredients in for this (barring the tahini, so I substituted some sesame seeds)
http://www.bhf.org.uk/media/news-from-the-bhf/national-vegetarian-week/falafel-with-minted-yogurt-dip.aspx
so tomorrow I have falafel and salad in pitta bread with a minted yoghurt dip for my LTW :A
and what's even better is that I have four days worth of lunches out of this. I just have to make up the salad each evening and possibly make more dip later in the week.0 -
Hi all we'll I managed my first whole week of taking lunch so that means I have had

Morning All, updated to here
I am all ready for my morning at work. I finish at 1pm, so will eat my lunch when i get home (but still counting it as a LTW).
SmarterNotHarder- well SOMEONE has to be number 69
Hehehe!!
Suzie- thanks for the tip about the salad. Mine always seems to go soggy after a day or 2. Do you just chop everything in advance and then mix on the day?
Everyone is doing so well
Even if you are missing out a few days, the idea is to save some money on lunches. So even if you only manage half of your target, that's still money that's in your bank/going towards debt instead of lining someone else's pockets
Have a wonderful day everyone and i'll be back later this afternoon to update

#81 still on 5/16
Afternoon everyone. It's a spend day today for me because Starbucks had a coffee for £1.50 offer. Sorry to say I didn't really enjoy it - what is wrong with me?
Brought the rest of my lunch in:
Leftover roast chicken sandwich with lettuce and cranberry
Banana, clementines, raw carrot
Was feeling kind and even made DH a sandwich last night (usually he buys a right old load of rubbish).
Made a double-recipe of A Girl Called Jack's aubergine and chickpea curry yesterday; just leaving it for the flavours to develop - will have some for dinner and the rest for lunches (got a couple of pots of it already in the freezer).0
