Hope everyone's morning is going well, and you are feeling better Cathy. I am really enjoying reading what everyone is having - reminds me of being at school and staring nosily into other people's lunchboxes :p

I can now report another two LTWs down bringing me to a grand total of 5/18.

Yesterday I enjoyed a smoked turkey sandwich in awesome crusty french bread, together with a handful of cherry tomatoes, a couple of lychees and a pot of fresh pineapple. We use Carrefour as our main supermaket and despite trying to cut carbs, I can never resist their boulangerie! Today was a hot meal of leftover hm smoky baked beans with carrot sticks and more pineapple and lychees. One of my colleagues asked whether I was trying to lose weight as she has never seen me eat so many vegetables and fruit. :o

The UAE will be celebrating the Prophet's birthday (PBUH) on Sunday, so I am looking forward to making the most of a lovely long weekend, starting tomorrow. Sadly we haven't got anything planned as Mr Pinot will be cramming for a job interview on Monday, but it will give me time to do some cooking for next week. Does anyone else have exciting plans coming up?
  • Morning all,

This is my 5/5 day of LTW but I really want a piece of chocolate. Got loads at home but none with me now.

    What do I do?

  • Can I join please? Will aim for 11days for the rest of this month as only work part time, 3 days a week. Have had a lot of visits to McD before work the past few months so need to stop it now!

Hi, thanks for confirming what I was hoping!! My brother paid for lunch so will count that in as a LTW day :)) I'm on day 4/20 today as I've brought in chicken salad and some leftover pineapple chunks.

    Happy munching everyone x

My boyf has taken pity on me with this challenge (no idea why - I'm set to do well! Grateful for it though :)) and took me out for a big lunch yesterday and bought me some cake to help me through earlier this week. I'm counting both days as LTW! If I didn't spend any cash, then it's a LTW to me.

I'd scrounge some from my colleagues and pay them back tomorrow :)

#81 reporting for duty to announce Day 4/16

Homemade red lentil and tomato soup
    Marmite sandwich
Leftover vegetarian sausage from dinner last night
    Grapes, banana, 2 clementines

I've been hungry the last few days - hopefully this lunch will keep me going longer. Am weightwatching at the moment so need to keep to my points as well as LTW.

I much prefer my homemade lunches to the scabby fare on offer in the shops - even Pret sandwiches have lost their appeal. Tempted for first time by a takeaway coffee this morning, but HELD FAST! :money:
  • DAY 6/20 for me :)

    Brekkie brought in!

Lunch of cheese sandwhich and left over tomato and basil soup!

Felt I needed a filling in my sandwhiches/bagels a plain bagel and soup was leaving me hungry in the afternoons! Or if still hungry Ill need to bring in another snack that is not fruit - it is not cutting it!

Possibly some ryvita and philly or tomatoes... Hmmm ....

I'm doing the same. I am doing their filling and healthy plan which is reducing my urge to snack. It's not been great this week as Mama and Papa Mooo have been in town so I've had three dinners out and two lunches out with them :o but hopefully I'll be back on track next week. Today and tomorrow are more about damage limitation!
  • Hi

    Day 5/15 #65

And once again I have soup - a curried veg thing!

Not doing so well on the diet. Got home to find DH doing steak and chips for tea - couldn't reuse! We have friends from DC staying with us tonight and so its curry takeout as English curry is something they can't get

Does your work have a free vending machine where you can get a free hot chocolate?

I think I'm going to fall back on ours if I get a sweet craving when the Chrimbo chocs have run dry :)
