attempted to join the 'big society' only to find out that it is all political rhetoric :-(
People should report lots of things to the police , but sadly all the effort gets you down and you stop bothering ........

it's all about resources. Do they spend police time on a near miss or act on reports by a council resident complaining that their neighbour is shouting racial abuse and waving a machete out of the window/garden?0

I used to report things too - about 40 odd years ago when I was young and naieve.
I also used to have faith in the system and thought that the Police were there to actually do something.
But as has been said - nothing actually happened.
Anyway - how close to a 'miss' was this incident?
50mm? 50cm? 5metres? Any proof?
Someone was pi**ed off enough to blow their horn - let them report it - for what little good it will do.0 -

I couldn't give a damn what they are, as long as they don't get a chance to harm people. The risk is established, and needs investigating so I've acted in accordance with my conscience. Perhaps if you lived in an area where driving without a license and hit and runs are not unusual, you might see the value in doing so.
