Anyone Know About Satellite TV?

My girlfriend is Greek and is desperate to get some service which can allow her to watch Greek channels in the Sheffield. She has been offered a satellite receiver on subscription from a Greek company. However, we live in an apartment and the dishes on the roof can obviously not be tampered with or turned by us. Will we still be able to use the receiver with the dishes on the roof or would we need access to our own dish that we could point in a specific direction?
Any help at all would be great. I've looked at IPTV but they all seem to get terrible reviews
Thanks

Yes you could use the dishes already on the roof but it depends what direction they are pointing in relation to the direction the dish should be pointing in.0

Hmm, so it's just going to be a case of taking a risk then? Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated0

I only know the basics of it.
Maybe try digital spy, the link points to a satellite sub forum on digital spy.0 -
I'm sure we can work it out here.
What is the name of the greek company that have offered the subscription? from that we should be able to work out which satellite they use and where abouts it is located.0 -
It's called OTE0

Eutelsat 9a apparently at 9° East. Apparently Sky's is at 28.2° East. I have no idea whether that means they could both be picked up by a dish pointing generally towards the same direction or not0

Sorry Barry, you won't be able to receive it without moving the dish.
If you go to this site it gives you an idea of where the dish needs to be pointed at.
