Got my payslip yesterday but it's slightly less than normal as work messed up expenses so I'm not technically out of pocket.
Hopefully this month will be ok, we have a couple of birthdays coming up which I've budgeted for. I am just hoping to stay in the green!!!,0 -
We get paid tomorrow, but I got my pay slip today. I didn't realise the pay slip covers up to the end of the month, so that came as a nice surprise. I'll get 5 weeks pay, so a nice boost! I'll need to put aside most of the extra so I have spending money for my trip to Vegas in November.
Next month is an expensive one, Dad's bday, parents anniversary and a good friends birthday (she wants to have a fancy dress party too), but hopefully my OH is up for a quiet and frugal month...0 -
I need a frugal month but somehow I don't think it will happen!!0

Having said that, this month is normally one I'd need to take a train up to my parents (@£86 for tickets, £11 for taxis, £5 for train dinners), but instead I'll just be around £9 for fuel. That's a good saving straight away!0

Finally 4 figures in the bank:rotfl:0

Finally it's payday. Shame I feel like absolute toilet today. Have had this cold/man flu thing all week and it's really affecting my sleep. Not good in my first week in my new role.
So I have paid off a large chunk this month and paid off the extra I spent on the Tesco card (again). I must have miscalculated somewhere as I had a missing £30 extra I thought I had paid off. I have adjusted my figures now.
£3488.90/£4588.90 76.02% so 3/4 of the way there with 3 more paydays left. Doesn't help I have 2 birthdays and then Xmas to sort out.
Still from next payday is my new increased salary so hopefully will be able to complete debt free day before Xmas
Have a good weekend all0 -

I have another payment of a £100 to go on the CC this month but thats on a DD. I have been making £10 payments here and there the last month as im been reigning in my spending so appear to have more left over this month. I have a savings pot of £435, which i am hoping to top up until the end of November and whatever i am short to pay off the CC i will take from this. I am desperate to start learning to drive but refuse to while i owe money so this is where the determination is coming from.
Well done everyone else.Debt Free Jan 2015 :T0 -
Ops! I paid a CC early but forgot to cancel the DD so another £59.00 paid here which will cause me problems for the weekend... still I have passed the 90% mark, only another £259 to pay to meet this year's target and then I can start on my target for 2015 !! Roll on pay day!!

Another £20 paid off today.
Got some good news in work today that will make me an extra £30 a week for 14 weeks. Not much but it's still an extra £30 a week.
The plan is that I'll be splitting that extra money in two, half will go on debts and the other half will go towards savings.
SO ATM I'm standing at

Discovered a carpet beetle infestation tonight. Had an infestation in an old flat 4 years ago. Hate the bleedin' things!
Are they the yellow and black zig-zaggy ones? We had those in our old flat
Payday for both of us here...
