I was thinking this morning how quickly the year has gone. I am really proud of how we have all done so far this year! :)

I will have paid off around £4k by the time we get to the end of the challenge which is not bad going. Definitely better than where I started!
  • Only 5 more days til pay day for me, and it can't come fast enough! I only had 3/4 of a pay packet this month because I changed jobs.

Plus side too, once I get my first pay packet, I get access to the employee benefits scheme, we can get corporate gym membership, discounted cinema tickets, 6% off at some supermarkets....
  • Counting down the days till paydayyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Got a few commitments this month but still hoping to pay off at least £400.00 over all the debts I owe.

I will be coming to update more frequently now I have a bit more time (not CONSTANTLY feeding now :rotfl: and kids are back at school) but am still in negative figures for this challenge so want to clear that and not sure how to report it...

Sorry, I forgot to answer this. I can just update your target for the year?
    Well done Mat!!!

Ok so I am not going to be debt free by Christmas 2014 due to my own stupid stupidity!

My debt is up again, Moved house & went a bit spend crazy so here is my honest account of the total debt as of today.

    SCC - £330.07
    BCC - £1800.00
    HCC - £635.52
    Isme - £488.55

    TOTAL - £3254.14

    :wall:

Will keep updating each month then whatever is left over will carry on into the next thread.

    Hope you are all well.
    Dxxx

Dolly, don't be too hard. According to my spreadsheet, your starting debt was £5009.88 and you had paid off £1800 (so remaining debt £3,209.88). Your debt has only gone up £45! I can either change your target to £3,254.14 or change the amount paid off to £1755.74?

Well I need to update my total to reflect the £400 I spent on moving, furniture and deposit last month:

    £1,250/3500

I won't reach target by Christmas by a long shot, but I reckon I can get over half way. It feels a bit depressing to think about how little I've managed this year, but really, I have to write off around 6 months of this year: Jun: paid for holiday, Aug: moving, Sept: reduced pay, Oct: paying off August, Nov: holiday, Dec: Christmas.

I'm looking forward to getting my finances back on track in January.

Received some money back from the registraion costs for my house I bought last year. Only took a year to get the money back
Have used this to pay off Bank of mom'n'dad and used the rest to pay off some of my loan, we decided to use savings towards next years tax to pay off the rest of the loan. I haven't counted the savings we used as we now owe our savings pot.
This now means I have cleared the amount I wanted to this year and more. I have decided to up my target for this year please Mini, updated target is now £21,000 please.

    #34 Pd £17,515.57 / £21,000 - 83.40%

    Well done :T

    810/4600

    current total is 3790

    hello,

    haven't updated since July!

not reeeeeallllly paid much off either. I am saving a far bit but totally paranoid re using those to pay off an interest free debt. any how current debt total is 3500

so that means my update is,

    1100/4600

I would have to pay off over a thousand pounds per month to be debt free.

thing is both my car insurance and union fees are due in Jan... so not sure.

    good luck everyone XX
    Nevertheless she persisted.
