We seem *fingers crossed* to be safe here, and as long as nothing falls on the car I'll be fine!! It has already cost me a bit though... Have to shell out for a new umbrella :rotfl::rotfl: Don't even know why I pulled it out tbh!
I've done that with an umbrella before ended up disappearing over a hedge:rotfl:
Fences survived but none of my neighbours did and the local park lost some very big trees. I was on the train the following day but had to abandon my journey part way due to delayed trains at the next station.

It was awful here last night - I kept waking up with strong gusts in the night. exhausted today now. Our neighbours bins were blown into the street twice - the first time they were getting close to a car parked on the street, so I was building myself up to go pick them up but thankfully a passing driver stopped and pulled them to one side - very glad he showed up! Another neighbour got them the second time and put them somewhere sheltered.
I'm so glad it's a weekend - I don't feel up yo acting like a functioning human being today...0 -
Big hugs to anyone dealing with this awful weather - we seem to have missed the worst of it so far at least - went into the attic rooms yesterday to make sure the windows/ceilings were still intact and good news on that front!! Would LOVE to not have an expensive repair in the near future so we are crossing our fingers like mad and keeping the hatches battened down!
eBay auctions finishing in the next couple of hours - upto about £35 so far which if they all get paid for will make the next couple of weeks much easier money-wise! Definitely won't be paying off my overdraft before payday as I ended up buying something I've wanted for a few months for a bargainous price - but feeling the pinch now for treating myself :mad:0
