  • plzhelpmesave well done on clearing the two cards - it's always lovely to see people reaching their next milestone. Plus you have a great attitude being so excited about closing cards off! You're more than welcome to join us full time if you want :)

trueblue it always looks like a lot at the beginning, but it's not going to stay at that amount for long!

Rachie hope the fences are ok! We have quite a fierce wind here too, but I'm hopeful it's not going to turn into anything more. We seem *fingers crossed* to be safe here, and as long as nothing falls on the car I'll be fine!! It has already cost me a bit though... Have to shell out for a new umbrella :rotfl::rotfl: Don't even know why I pulled it out tbh!

Hope everyone is safe where they are!

Tomorrow will be my final Aqua Card payment, then they will be closing the account! :D:D I stupidly didn't include this cards balance in my total to pay off this year, but it feels good to have one less direct debit going out, and money freed up to snowball the others too!

This means that the M&S card will be paid off completely next month, just leaving my RBS card to clear before the 0% period expires!

I have made a couple of small payments to this card over the last few days and my present situation is:

    #038 £1097.63 / £4016.44

    Target = £10804

  • Well done Argomatt!

I am anxiously waiting for my pay to come into my account. It is usually paid tomorrow but sometimes it appears the night before....

    #25 here

    WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!
Pay in my bank so I have made the first step in my new outlook and paid £650.97 (to make the total debt now whole numbers) rather than the £50pm I have been paying for the past 2 years!

I know I wont be "woo hoo-ing" for long when the lack of funds sets in, but at least I now do not have the opportunity to squander it like I have been doing these past years...

I am on the road to becoming debt free by the end of this year if I carry on this way :-)

    Total paid off is:
    £1,325.09/ £10,953.97 = 12.1%

    Hi everyone,

Glad to see everyone is managing to keep the momentum going!

And of course, love to you all on Valentine's!

January was such a LONG month and now February is positively flying by!

It's always an expensive one for us with my birthday, our anniversary and our holiday, and I am not scrimping on holiday things as it is our real treat.

So, we'll not be making any extra payments this month, but we'll still make a tiny dent and then when we are back in March we are in for the slog!

So my latest update is (drum roll)

    #62 payment of £168.73

    (cymbals! :-)

    making a total £7775.64 / £13228.73

    58.78% (I think! Ha ha!)

That's all from us for now. Have a great weekend and rest of months!
