I have been visiting MSE for a long time however this is my first post! I think this is a great deal so feel compelled to share it with you all!
If you are prepared to sign up to a min. 18month contract with Primus, I have worked out that you can get your line rental and unlimited broadband down to just over £11.33 a month over a 2 year period.
You fail to mention that the site is littered with complaints about Primus ( New Call ) awful customer service, and the fact that MSE warn you about joining them.0 -

Are you sure £ 50 is correct ?0 -
You need to check how unlimited the actual broadband actually is. There could be a cap or some other restriction like a fair use policy and throttling. If it has any of these it is not really unlimited. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

Would I be correct in thinking this "deal" is exchange specific too? Like lots of other "deals" where us Market 1 customers are subsidising others' cheaper broadband.0

I've been on Primus before and had no problems previously. I'm willing to take the risk :-)0

isn't that because most people are quite happy to complain or if they aren't satisfied where as people who are happy have nowt to moan about , for what it's worth , i've been with primus since it was first reccomended on this site , i've had a few niggles , once was around this time of the year when my line went dead , i phoned them , bearing in mind there customer service was in india at this time (it's now uk based) at around 11-00am , by 12-30pm there was a BT engineer knocking at the door and it was fixed within minutes ,
so it's not all bad , probably no worse than any of the others0 -
I've just got TalkTalk phone and BB package for parents at £7.25 per month only, all line rental charges have been dropped - that's £7.25 pm for unlimited broadband, "anytime" calls and IDD boost - Primus wanted £15,00 per month for similar package, but TT package still better regardless due to 0870 numbers being free and IDD boost.
Now just to see if can squeeze mobile boost out of them for free, but parents (OAPs) last annual TT combined bill was £288, so expecting a minimum 50% saving across the year.
You read that right, TT dropped all line charges for my elderly parents - that's what I call service, and their service has not been as bad as many make out - old Tiscali customers taken over by TT and having better service and prices with TT.0
