  • Getting quiet in here, wonder if people are finally finding things to do? :D

I echo the OMO sentiments, was given a little stag the other day and she crossed my mind.

    JJ, how you doing girlie?

Was in Costco last night, spent a fortune on meat, but my freezer now reasonable, also bought next years Christmas cards. They are quite pricey, but when you consider that you get 30 handmade and all different for £16, it is not bad. Last year, they were all the same in the box, suspect they didn't sell that many, so reverted to norm this year. As I bought elsewhere last year, I bought this years at the same time.

Hugs and all that is needed to everyone else:D

Happy birthday fluffysox :bdaycake: is the tree up yet?
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
  • Finished all my Christmas wrapping last night, having had a bit of a gap after wrapping the hampers. I haven't added all the ribbons etc (plus usually baubles, chocolate coins and various other bits to make the wrapping 'interesting') that I normally do - not sure if I'll bother, as I think they look quite nice and simple. :)

We are getting into the swing of things at work. We have had the children learning lines and practising their nativity for a fortnight or so. Just two weeks now until the performances! We have also made a nativity scene diorama for a local shop, that can be seen in their window display, so that was quite good fun too. :)

    Welcome Jacqui :)

    Happy Birthday Fluffysox

Aw Freespirit, so sorry to hear that darned BD is at your heels again.:( I do hope Feisty's little ones can scare it away - if they need any help I can chip in with a very noisy Jack Russell terrier!

Quidsy, I too agree about OMO, it seems ages since she last posted and I hope it's because she's busy in day to day life and not for any other reason.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Evening all, hope every one is doing well with the Christmas prep! Hugs and good vibes to those who have lost the Christmas spirit a little bit :(

Thanks to those who wished me a happy birthday (from nearly two weeks ago!) sorry haven't caught up properly since then! We've been going though a lot of stuff at work at the moment with uncertainty over our future, and we found out on Monday that we can apply for voluntary redundancy, so I've been thinking about whether I want to apply for that.

PIXTOTTS so sorry to hear about your nan, we've had an awful year as a family this year, and its not going to get any better, with one elderly relative looking like they might not make it until Christmas, so you have my sympathy! Sending hugs your way!

CHRISSYG sorry to hear you've been having a rubbish time as well, I hope your DD is feeling better soon, and sorry to hear about your car accident! It's always awful when things like that happen, especially when it's due to somebody else's negligence!

FREESPIRIT66 sorry to hear your not feeling 100%, I hope your feeling better soon

FLUFFYSOX happy birthday! I'm not 100% sure exactly when it is/was but I hope you have a lovely day!

PEPPAPIG you are so organised with that Christmas schedule, I've typed something similar up for myself to follow, but I don’t think I ever manage to stick to these kinds of things; everything ends up taking longer than I think it will!

MANDCO I noticed the rocky road kits in Asda the other day, it looks really good, think I'll get one next week!

ALIASLOTTE that nativity is so cute! I love the little donkey!

I've had a busy couple of weeks with birthdays and the like, my whole family were born in the same month it would seem! But now I'm back on track with the Christmas stuff! I've just been moving my sideboard in the living room this evening in order to make space for the Christmas tree! :T It's going up on Monday the 1st, and I've been itching to put it up since I got it in the January sales this year! I'm planning to spend this weekend making some garlands and wreaths to put up around the flat for Christmas using some cream tulle I've got hidden under the bed, I'm going to add some silver baubles and glitter snowflakes from good old pound land, and use some LED lights to tie them on to. I was inspired by a gorgeous garland I saw in next, that had cream and gold glitter ivy leaves all the way along it, but at £25 it was slightly out of my budget!

Here's a little something I made earlier this week, OH and I collected some pinecones a few weekends ago (or at least, I collected them while he pretended he wasn't with the crazy woman picking up sticks and pine cones!) and spruced them up a little bit.

I hope this works, first time I've tried posting a pic!

    20141127_200637_zpsf2796e1e.jpg

All glittered up and ready to go in a bowl somewhere when the rest of the Christmas stuff goes up!

Having a night off Christmas prep tonight (now that I've dragged the sideboard across the living room) and going to relax a little bit!
