Coming out of lurkdom to drool over the nutella cinnamon rolls!
Hello everyone, I've been reading this and other threads and plotting my Christmas presents over the past couple of months, and think that I am 99% done.
Luckily I only have 5 or so people to buy for: DD, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend and one or maybe 2 friends.
DD and I live with my parents at the moment, so we can't go too crazy with Christmas ideas as we are pretty restricted, but as I'm a newly qualified primary school teacher, I'm looking forward to going crazy in the classroom with battery operated twinkly lights, a tree and lots of paper chains
I was thinking that some of our threadmates over on 5 OS Pleasures would enjoy this thread and here you are! I love friendly threads like this one. If you can get some pics without kids in of the classroom once it's done, that would be great.
I am holding off from Christmas music just yet but I have a super stash of Christmas CDs, pop, folk, carols, classical, standards....
My favourite Christmas piece of music is probably Carol of The Bells (choral version), closely followed by Troika, my favourite carol (other than Carol of the Bells), Silent Night in German.
My favourite secular Christmas song is Perry Como's Christmas Dream; I also have a soft spot for Eric Bogle's Santa Bloody Claus, which is very rude and very funny.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Super happy, Tesco finally updated my vouchers from the Christmas saver today & managed to get ds a HUDL 2 plus protective case using double up & a £15 off a £75 spend voucher code all for just £35 quid. Had less Christmas saver vouchers than I thought but it is still a good deal as RRP is £139I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Thanks for this! I finish work on Thursday for Halloween for a few days, so think I'll get the bus out to Dunelm for this.
I want to make it into a snowman too lol. If not I can just get it online

I'm not usually this excited about Christmas, but I think knowing I'll have 30 children (with DD at the top of the list) getting excited is making me happy!0 -

Those are beautiful and a real inspiration! Did you use outdoor vinyl for the glass, or are you intending it to be display only? I only ask as I'm desperate to make some for the family, but worry about what vinyl to use!
The green and white is just cricut vinyl.. what they say is indoor vinyl.. the black is fablon (from wilkos) suitable for showers so i thought since we don't have a dishwasher it should last for a few uses being hand washed lol. if not doesn't matter its only for dd1's bday really. i've been trying to hunt out the best place (moneywise) to get outdoor vinyl but struggling.. the indoor stuff can be used for glasses, mugs etc but they just don't recommend the dishwasher or extra hot water.
freespirit66, i spent the last month of pregnancy with my dd4 in so called early labour, she ended up being a week late so 5 weeks of off and on contractions.. plus side was when i finally went into hospital for them to check me i was there 10 mins and she was born... told them they should have listened to me lol Hope its not that long for her or fast a labour either. good luck ;D
Quidsy i got a hudl 2 and bumper case too.. used the same code as you too and had to pay £2 cause of the way they did my vouchers this time blah lol. also preordered dh two xbox one games and got 3 smelly sets.. still got £50 worth of points to double up too.. dh wants me to use it on clothes for me but i think its just a waste lol we'll see.
I've spent the day creating little halloween paper characters with the youngest, not a clue where we're going to put them all yet lol but kept her entertained for a few hours. I really must go start dinner. oops!Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Oh and i don't know if you've used any vinyl before but its best to let it sit for at least 24-48 hours after applying so the glue dries... dunno where i read that too but it works... also if you miss place it or need to clean the item you're putting it on.. surgical spirit is fab for getting rid of the glue stuff it leaves on.Totally debt free wohooo 2014
