GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY have a great time at the festival
Film was really enjoyable and q&a afterwards was very interesting, think we were all surprised to learn that it was actually the writer/director's own story.
Decided to get bus there, don't usually use bus but thought it would be handier for that time on a Saturday evening - I know now why I usually drive! Had to wait about 30 mins for a bus which was actually going further than the bus garage, took ages to get to the nearest stop to the garage then we got chucked off, waited for another one, ages in single lane traffic but eventually got to cinema, sat down, relaxed but had to keep getting up to let people into their seats.
Really lucky on way home as got a bus virtually immediately, but then we ground to a halt, felt middle of nowhere to me as I don't know the area as the police had closed off the road so they could deal with an incident. Bus driver pointed us in the direction of other bus routes as diversions would now be in operation. Did my good deed for the day as I told car drivers they wouldn't be going anywhere, they appreciated being told as it gave them the option to turn around. When I got on the third bus home, I recognised a family that had been on the first bus, the kids were so well behaved considering all the hassle, oldest was only about 6, dad was stressing as he was going to be late for work, so I made mum & dad's day by telling them the kids were an absolute credit to them considering the hassle. Mum looked at me and said "for now, wait until they get home!" There were 4 kids and I think considering we are generally quick to complain, compliments should be given when deserved.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

Good evening all. Been a pj day for us, as dd2 has now got this nasty cold too - and we are all absolutely cream-crackered after 2 birthdays in 8 days!
Managed to get a bit of lap top time, so booked panto tickets for us all (sleeping beauty) and managed to get front row seats!
Also ordered a couple of board games from amazon (they have got some great deals on games at the mo) Doctor who turbo top trumps for £7 (was £24.99) and Game of life Fame edition for £5.98 (was £19.99).
My The book people order came, chuffed to bits with the christmas decorations activity book (dd's wil love it) and the nutella recipe book, Dh picked up a large jar today to go with it!
Does anyone have any experience of having dog sitters? We are having 2 nights away end of December for mums wedding, and need to find someone to look after our dogs (an american bulldog & a staffy) and they have never been in kennels before. The kennels local to us really dont have good reviews so Im even more reluctant. Dh mentioned getting a dog sitter to stay at ours, but I feel weird about a stranger staying in our house. Any advice would be greatly appreciated xIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
We take Charlie to a dog sitter when we go away she looks after the pets in her own home. He loves it he gets really excited when we pull up at her door.
