Ha ha, I know how you feel. I'm pretty new to it too and it was more by luck than judgement that I added pics to the right place lol. I'd signed up for Pinterest before Pixtotts invited me to the elfilicious board so when I clicked on the link it sort of knew who I was. When I want to pin something it now gives me the choice of the board I originally started for myself and the group one. I'm sure some of the more 'experienced' pinners will be able to guide you. Hope you're both in the same place anyway!

Kelly I'll talk to DD re the elf pic tomorrow and PM you when she sends it to me.

Mrs G I've asked to join your elf group too.

Aliaslottie the hampers look really good. At least once you've cellophaned them you won't be tempted to keep adding things :D

Cwtchingpennies, predictive text is so annoying isn't it. I put an ad on our local facebook selling page for some Hunter wellies and it changed it to willies

I'm off to bed now - hope everyone gets a peaceful night x
Added all who was waiting on elf group.. if fb isn't being silly if you've asked you're in lol if not then either pm me or reapply again and i can add..

Just joined the pinterest group too i think....

Theres so many goodies appearing in the shop but i really must have a low spend week lol

    Haha hunter willies!
I've followed thd pininterest page and sent request yo join elf fb group ;)

Bought myself a Christmas jumper in Asda yesterday. Its a lovely black jumper, not too thick (I hate being too hot) with holly leaves and gems for the red berries. Then later at home ordered a Christmas outfit for DS2 (had email saying 20% off baby clothing and nursery ) and a pirate outfit for halloween. Also another sweater type Christmas jumper for me which is red with a furry rudolph on the front :)
They have Christmas novelty jewellery, flashing badges and a colourful jingle bell necklace, novelty earrings etc too.

I'm on the lookout for Christmas Party bags to give to my class. Proper ones, not the cellophane ones.
The wee shop I used to get them has closed down now :( Had I known that I would have stocked up last year when buying them. I got 12 for £1 every year which was handy.

If anyone sees any would you let me know please.

Evening everyone, wow isnt it amazing what spending a bit of money on yourself does for you :rotfl:i have been so down with the pain this week that DD1 took me into town to spend some of my birthday money and treat me to a Costa, we just had a gentle walk, and i treated myself to some new clothes, some Hot Toddy and Snow Fairy shower gel from Lush, some White Musk perfume and shower gel from Body Shop, a set of the new christmas fragrances in votives from yankee candle and an electric tart warmer, and the Good Housekeeping christmas mag and i feel so relaxed and chilled tonight :D

Wow, I've caught up, been MIA for some days, but back now! Christmas is getting put up/out everywhere now. Have had 2 trips to the Range in 2 weeks, (taking friend to hospital in city where range is, so it would have been rude not to visit!!) Such a lot of lovely things it is hard to choose what to buy,--but l tried really hard, honestly.
Going to a christening today, it is my DGS dad's elder daughter's son. DGS is wearing a suit and tie for the occasion, he looks so grown up, it's heartbreaking.
Have PM d you , Pixtotts, for pinterest board, thanks.
DD is having a mega sale on Friday, at mine, l'm catering it, so will be busy pricing etc., this week, hope she does OK its from her Avon thingy, so brochures are at the ready, and our beauty therapist friend is going to do nails, eyes, skin tests and foundation matching for everyone, and we will give out her pricelists and business cards, as she is going to continue with her self employment and work part time too, instead of giving up.
Now I better get going to get ready for the christening, polish shoes and so on. xxx
  • I always feel that i need to hold back commenting on this thread until two things have happened..... My park xmas vouchers arrive (Friday) and my local garden centre sends me an email re their xmas launch...arrived today, they launch on Wednesday so Xmas is officially on count down for me now!

Ive started to make lists etc and yesterday i spent the whole day in my PJs making my Christmas planner which is a huge piece of flip chart paper with the dates on and i write in any social events, things i want to do with the family etc etc.

Ive started a bit of shopping....i like to buy all my wrapping, gifts bags etc at this time of year. I used to get them in the sales the year before but i would end up wanting new stuff the year after!! So now i buy 3for2 stuff in Tesco and Matalan and got some real bargains a couple of weeks ago when Matalan was 20% off.

I went to the range the other day.... It was pouring down and i just needed to get out of the house and have a walk. So because its huge i thought best place to have a wander!! Well £45 later and i bought some truly gorgeous things including the hessian xmas sacks which i think are a bargain compared to other places.

Tesco club card add up their points tmrw and i do the xmas savers with them every year and im expecting about £45 in vouchers. I also do their saving stamp cards and an asda xmas savings club. We all go to my mums at Xmas and her and dad feed all 9 off us right over the festive period. So my saving stamps and asda card are my way of contributing and i prefer this to giving them money. I dont have kids but i have two nieces and nephews who i do spoil, but i work hard and have a good job so i am happy to do so.

Ive started to but wine and tubs of sweets each week with the weekly shop...think the dot com man thinks im an alcoholic sugar craving mad woman! The truth is i have a large team at work and i prefer to buy like this but im not going to set the delivery driver straight!

Has anyone been to Ribby hall at Xmas? if so i would be interested in your reviews. Im considering booking but want to hear honest reviews. Off to burn a xmas candle and have a bit of a sort out.

Freespirit, sounds like you had a great time, so glad to hear you're feeling chilled - a bit of pampering can go a long way :D

I've not got much done really this weekend - seem to have spent most of it on Mrs G's Elf FB page and I haven't even got littlies at home to do it for! Have been passing info on to DD for DGD whose elf has visited for the last two years and is eagerly awaited again this year. Think I might have promised DD I'll make her a sleeping bag and Elf door although I could possibly cheat and buy the sleeping bag from the FB thread :D

Off to a miniatures fair today and then calling in to see DD and DGSs so should be a good day. 'See' you all tonight.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

    Hi

I hope you don't mind me joining in :)
I was determined not to do anything xmassy until after we came back off our hols and we are now back so Merry Xmas planning everyone :)
I did cheat a bit and bought some bits and bobs on holiday ( no wonder I always get my case searched) and I've started adding a few bits a week to my Mr T online shop. OH doesn't like boosy food so I always try and get a boost free Xmas pud early and I don't notice the expense of adding a few bits a week.
We only buy for the littlies now ( no grandchildren but lots of great nieces an d nephews) and each other and our grown up boys. So not a mad lot to get.
Anyway I better stop rambling but I love Xmas and all the run up and planning
    See you all soon
    Cuddles:)

    Afternoon :)
I'm off out in a bit to pick up a few bits and pieces I wasn't able to get yesterday.
Have wrote myself a list so I WON'T spend anymore than I need too, but also have wrote on said list to go have a nosey at B&M as I keep forgetting they've re-opened in town lol.

And I'm still on the lookout for a small cheap white christmas tree.

All I need now is for a Home Bargains to open a bit closer to home, or in the city center itself and I'm sorted.
Oh and a Wilkos wouldn't go amiss either. We don't have one of those here :(
