b_e_g I have a sick note, so sorry to be absent yesterday but really felt shocking. Don't think this 5:2 suits me at all, not going to do it anymore. Thankfully this morning felt tonnes better. I felt so sorry for myself last night and even worse when I thought of all the things that still need doing. Picked myself up again thankfully and have got a lot done today and have a plan/list/timetable for tomorrow :) xxx
Linky so sorry there isn't more positive news on your BF, don't give up though. We've always got hope. As Mrs M says karma or fate brought this new person into your life at a perfect time. I don't know if you remember but I met a lady on the plane coming back from DSs, she was just exactly the same, still in contact all be it by txt n FB. But will be a friend for life can't wait to see her in October. I'm loving the CV pot, you are doing so well :) Go girl xxx
Ruth thanks for the book recommendation, I've made notes need to get some downloaded for next weeks hols. Hope you are well, we've missed you xxx
Mrs I oh how clever you are. What a blooming good idea and fantastic bargain re the glasses, well done. Hope you did as well with the tyres. Have you heard about your visa yet? Greenhouse building vibes are whisking there way to Nev the Shred and tea and bacon buttie vibes to you. Hope you aren't over doing things xxx
Newthift you are doing so well with your preperations! I'm in awe! making me feel very far behind. Need to get the garden sorted, sort Christmas cupboard and get on with it xxx
Manco ooh I've not been in the £shops for ages, don't really know why. Must do something about it soon. Are your littlies on half term now? Have you plans? xxx
Princess happy holiday, hope you don't get the call from the hospital and manage to have a good break. Recharge your batteries :) xxx
Festive Princess how are you? I hope the Scotland fund grows as fast as Linkys and you manage to get to see those gorgeous girls very soon. Any word on the referral yet? xxx
Quidsy ooooh the very mention of the polar express filled me with delight :) DGD2 wasn't really into the film last year, may start making her watch it every night till December and book anyway. Only kidding, she watches a few minutes of "The Nativity" every night before bed and story. Defo a Nanas girl xxx
Sis the coincidences are remarkable aren't they. Makes me laugh, think we were separated at birth. Oh I was thinking about you when it was really warm, as you know I don't like it either, but I do like a good moan :) it's much cooler here hope you are more comfortable. Hope the migraine cleared, and hasn't ended up a long term one. Just reading your challenges oh my goodness. Just cos you've been doing them a few months now doesn't take away what a blooming amazing achievement they are. I do hope you are proud of yourself, the Sis that first posted has gone and we truly have a Freespirit I'm so very proud of you lady xxx

In the crazy house of Nan, where we never do anything the easy way, it's been even crazier than normal.
New bedding washed ready for new bed (being delivered tomorrow) old bed need to be moved into spare room and single bed that is in spare room needs to go to the tip! Coffee and lamp table (old lounge furniture) need to go to charity shop and old chest of drawers tip. Band of wonderful neighbours on hand to help tomorrow. Fencing/flagging guy coming Tuesday hopefully have a start date then :)
Need to organise, pack for hols.
    Need to finish invites.
I have a timetable first job in the morning is my ironing (I'm weird but I do love it ha - Newthrift not sure if it'd be worth the drive but I could do yours too. xxx

Good morning, happy Saturday vibes to all. I don't 'do' camping, or 'glamping' now, used to do it when younger and went to open air festivals, but now I like en-suite too much! but hope you all enjoy. I have never towed anything either, so wouldn't be confident with a caravan, but, OMO, I hope it does good, the pot is filling up fast, go you!
Nanamia, your memory astounds me! Nev the Shred loves his bacon butties, and hopefully that is bribe enough to get him here. I agree with Freespirit, that you have a lot on at the present, don't overdo it, please. Freespirit I agree with Nanamia that you have made tremendous progress and how proud we are of you.
JJ you continue to inspire me with your upbeat courage, and understated heroism.
Tyres weren't such a bargain, at £104 the pair, but at least I'm legal again.
Kitchen timer is on duty again today as the 'to do' list is full of things I'd rather not be doing. (There's just me here, and I'm big now, so why do I still do things I don't like, washing windows, ironing, cleaning the steps and so on?) ok, cos I'm daft, but heyho . xxx

    Morning ladies,
I'm after a bit of inspiration please basically my dd has been unwell for 3 weeks now [awaiting various test results] she was very down and said she thinks she deserves a trophy for everything she has gone through , so I thought I would get her one .
I've found a nice one online but I struggling on how to word the sentiment that's where you come in any suggestions ?

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Afternoon
Well I don't know where the sun has gone :( it's damp and cold here and it looks set to carry on through the whole bank hol weekend, such a shame:mad: blinking weather.
Nanamia - Oh yes please ;) the ironing is now planned in for this afternoon, once I have finished the last 3 wages off!! Glad to hear your DGN is breathing independently :j

Got the house to clean this afternoon (+ironing:o) and then hopefully if I get a little bit of time I would like to have a sort through my shoes and Christmas gift stuff. Possibly bag together birthday presents + fathers day ready so I don't have to be routing through too much.

OMO - as ever your quotes make me chuckle :D

We have lots of items ending on ebay Monday evening so will be packaging up for posting Tuesday if they sell. Glad I picked up parcel wrap cheap other year and always keep cushioned envelopes & bubble wrap. Still have more stuff to go on, may even pop it on tomorrow.

    Off for now :)
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

miserable and wet here but looking on the bright side we havent got to water the gardens and the ironing piles wont grow any bigger if you cant get the washing dry.
hope the plans people have for the long weekend arent too spoilt by the weather.
DS got on ok at the orthodontist and had moulds for his braces so got to go back for fitting in a couple of weeks

hope the poorlies start feeling better soon
