both my babies have jobs.
Ds started today. We have to get up at 4.45 so he can get the train. And he didn't get home until 7. But it's a job.
He was at football on Sunday when 3 of the men he plays with mentioned seeing each other on Monday at work. Ds asked if they had anything he could do, and the boss phoned him yesterday, to start this morning.
He is putting the insulation boards up ready to be plastered. One of the lads normally drives to the next town to meet the others, but his van is in the garage. Once that's fixed they will not need to get the train. Ds will just help pay for the petrol.
He is know fast asleep
Dd replied to a comment on the selling pages on FB and has a got a job in a refurbished pub/restaurant.
She has to go in on Saturday and get her time sheet. The pub is not open yet as it is not quite ready.
I bought her birthday present yesterday. Eminem is going his very last concert on her birthday at Wembley. She is going with a friend from college. She posted about it last night on Instagram and Eminem commented. It made her day
She screen-shot it to pin on her wall. :rotfl:
Must go to bed now. I have to be up making sandwiches in just under 6 hours :eek:0 -

b_e_g - you shall be a DR's expert by the end of the week

OMO - thanks for the link, have a lovely picture of me & OH from holiday which would be nice on canvas. Fantastic news for your DS and DD. Best of luck for your DS today hope he enjoys it!
Off to hang my washing out & get some breakfast.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -
Great news on the job front OMO. Well done to the pair of them. DS is only on a 16hr contract and by the time he pays travel he would probably be better off claiming jobseekers (at least he would be getting his nat ins paid) whereas now if he is on basic hours he doesn't earn enough to pay it towards his retirement pension. Thankfully he does get o/t now and again - but nothing is guaranteed. He is at the stage (nearly 28) where he wants to move out but it doesn't look as though that is going to happen anytime soon. You made me laugh OMO about the penny jar - my mum has a jar for each denomination of coin. Whenever I take her shopping in she always has a note - never any change and once the change goes in the jars that's where it stays until we sort it for the bank. Good luck with caravan fund.
Just getting a waft of cooking from kitchen - think its omelette and salad today. All showered and hair washed ready to pick friend up for hospital after lunch.
Gorgeous weather here today - hopefully things are on the turn.
Have a good day everyone

Afternoon everyone, first time i have managed to get on since sunday night, i have missed you all
DD1 and DS still had another night in London so didnt come home until 10pm monday evening, DD1 was full of cold and feeling grotty and her legs were still painful, she had hobbled as much as she could round London but was really in pain, but she had a good nights sleep and yesterday slept most of the day and by last night she wasnt in so much pain and feeling a bit less grotty. I baked all the cakes and iced them all monday, yesterday was the twins birthday, poor DD2 had another accountancy exam first thing but she passed, so it didnt ruin her day (although i dont think the stress is good for the baby)
she has another 3 to get through before the baby is due  We all had a lovely birthday dinner last night with DD2s partner. I bought my first baby present yesterday
:D:D they had seen a Starter Kit with all the feeding bottles, electric steriliser, bottle warmer, insulated bottle covers etc etc for £140 but argos had it on offer for £65 so i said i would like to buy if for them, and DD2 used some kind of card you top up and get so much per cent off and saved another £5 so i paid £60 in the end very :money: for my first grandbean purchase. Hope everyone is well need to catch up and get my fix.
NANAMIA glad you have got the invites started, its just getting going isnt it sometimes? aww the days will fly before you can give DS a big hug, yes it went ok except it wasnt really high enough to cut in half so the top was a bit holey IYSWIM but with the almond flavour creme pat it was nice, the bottom is a bit doughy though.
BEG well done with keeping on the straight and narrow, hope your procedure goes as well as it can today, thinking of you
MRSMONEYPENNY what a lovely idea for these children, they are beautiful, i now understand why a couple of young children suffering with cancer on twitter have made bracelets etc with beads, you really are a lovely person#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0
