Morning All
FREESPIRIT - it really is fabMy OH was laughing at me as I have now started organising our house 'properly' and will be doing a proper decluttering as I go over the next few weeks as between watching that and seeing how good OMO is being I feel bad for not having done any
I am starting to make a Christmas binder, has anyone else got/done one? I saw a couple of links for Organized Christmas that OMO posted on the first page. Does anyone have any tips or additonal websites they could point me in the direction of? I love list making, my OH always smiles as I put something on it that I have already done so I have the satisfaction of crossing something off first heheChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hello lovelies, I've missed you all! xox
I have been channeling my inner OMO and have finally finished de-cluttering (although I'm sure a drawer or two may have escaped, to do at a later date!). However all the items that were sectioned for car-boot/selling are now piled in a single wardrobe and have been there for an awfully long time.
I've tried listing on gumtree, but not really having much luck - I should probably try facebay etc, I just get so confused lol.
The carpets were cleaned last Thursday (£75 for a two bed flat) and although they look great I'm a little miffed that he didn't manage to get the dog stains out. When I contacted him, I specifically explained about the dog stains and cream carpets and he told me it wouldn't be a problem. I'm too scared of confrontation to complain about it though, so just paid up. I could have borrowed my mum's carpet shampooer for nowt - I only paid to specifically get rid of the bloody dog stains.
The second bedroom was looking near impossible this time Friday - I managed to find an office cabinet to store business supplies and a cheap bed too! I have been scouring ebay, gumtree etc for the last 6 weeks to try and get these two items, and then success this weekend! The only issue is they are cheap laminate and pine - we have lots of Annie Sloan paint left from the shop, and I want to paint it (DH is contemplating throttling me at this suggestion) but once I'm locked in with something, I really go for it2024 Challenges

Afternoon everyone, i dont know what is wrong with me today i have felt sick all day, i managed some fruit for breakfast but nothing since, i cant even face hoovering pushing it backwards and forwards
hope everyone is ok
MRSINVISIBLE have a wonderful trip, hope the butterflies have gone now
MRSMONEYPENNY im not sure who it was about the book, yes i have been researching my family history on and off for the last 8-10 years, i really need to order certificates at the moment but they are too expensive so i havent really got much further lately, its very confusing but fascinating, i am researching my Nans side of the family at the moment and it is full of feuds, trouble is i dont have anyone to speak to about it or help me as i dont have anything to do with my mum and she doesnt have anything to do with anyone!! (feuds), my Grandads side is up in Nottingham which i did visit and visited some graves up there a few years ago but without any luck.
NEWTHRIFT i would love to have an organised house like that too, i am still decluttering so maybe one dayI have done the organised christmas the last couple of years, i love it, there is also one you do monthly i will see if i can find the link for you.
FEISTY i would be exactly the same about the stains im afraid, really pi**ed off but too afraid to say anything  i hate confrontation, but when you dont have the money you want value for money when you do spend it.

families are like fudge....mostly sweets with a few nuts.
ive hit a wall with my family research at the mo, ive got as far back as my mums mums mums mums mum. but someone else in the family has told me her maiden name was one thing but the copy of the marriage cert gives a different surname for her and her dad. because some of her siblings have the surname i was told was hers and some the one shes drawn her mark against on the marriage cert and one has a mixture of both. im not sure if she was born one thing then her mum remarried so she swapped her name or if i was just told wrong. im going to leave it for a bit then come back to it.
i got on ok helping my mil with hers but once i discovered that her mum had 7 of her sisters before getting married and her dad had spent time at the local naughty boys school she kind of wanted me to stop looking. me and my DH found it all fascinating. i still need to go to the local records office to collect some stuff about her dads brother (my Dhs great uncle who was killed in the war) found out hes on a war memorial in a twon not far away and records office said they found some good stuff about him when i paid them to do a £10 search. i just need to go and buy copies so i can read it for myself.SPC~12 ot 124

When this house was built the builder asked what colour carpet we wanted and I said ' Dirt colour' :rotfl:
And I must say my carpet looks the same dirty brown as it does clean brown. :rotfl:0 -
lol I shall remember that one OMO2024 Challenges

:santa2: evening all. I've been AWOL from here for quite some time:( life just got all a bit much and had to step back from things for a while. Did drop by a couple if times but no feel ready tobstart facing the world again.
hope everyones ok and planning for crimbo has continued in my absence. Started a minor panic the other day as don't feel like I've done much. Went to Chelmsford NCT sale on saturday and managed to get a few bits for DD which was good.
Have also spent some time setting up a Facebook page for my new(ish) business. If I'm allowed to ask, if you could take a trip over and give me 'like' that would be fab. Surprise suprise its Blooming Tasty. Have been doing flowers and cakes for some time but now making it official. Got environmental health coming in a fortnight to inspect my kitchen so will be spending some time scrubbing oven, walls and worktops. Tiny bit afraid of that side of things even though you could eat off the floor most of the time. I do like the smell of bleach!

Your calendar sounds great, oh its so frustrating at times as well isnt it when they change their names, oh wow your mils family history sounds really interesting, what a shame she didnt want to continue, some people dont like knowing things like that though do they, i think it gives more of the character of someone, i went to see my great grandads name on a war memorial in france 18 mths ago (he was kia in world war one) it is absolutely fascinating over there seeing all the graves and the trenches, it is very eerie, then we went to ypres to see the menin gate etc, i didnt realise you could get searches done for that price, i might find out if the shrewsbury office does it.
