I am going to moan! skip this next paragraph if you are easily moved to tears, (even tears of laughter).
I have just tried to order a pair of hand towels off the M&5 website...... there is a 'new' website, please reset your password, (leave site check email, reset password, rejoin site) get to checkout, no indication of retired staff discount, contact CS desk, wait 11 minutes to speak to someone, to be told 'you will get a letter in the next day or two to tell you how to reset it' grrrrrr. Also need to reimput card details. On the plus side the CS agent put the order through with the discount added, but it is the frustration factor.
That was the only bad thing today, so, I got the bargain of the year, so far, this afternoon, Argos glitch, a regatta* jacket for 49 pence. I kid you not.
I've forgotten the other things I was going to say, so I will go back and reread, till then, have hugs and virtual cream cakes xxx0 -
Freespirit66-Yep, hubby has already complained about the way we were treated at the show. Potentially, they could've been doing the same to sponsers/exhibitors, so they could've lost money by the way they were speaking to people. I mean, what were they thinking by not letting press use the MAIN entrance to the show? Are we to use a tradesmans door now, because we certainly weren't allowed to pass through the press room to get in. Sorry...still annoyed about it.
Nanamia-Are you feeling any better yet? Still lots of nasty bugs going round. Make use of the time on the sofa to watch some of the films you've been meaning to. Do you have a tv in the bedroom? That's where I go when I want to watch something that DH isn't keen on. Or I send him in there!
I need to make an amendment to my list. I HAVE to add Despicable Me!!! Might bump The Holiday to 11th place.
Fluffysox-Maybe try the 'I wanna' board to ask for deals on TVs? Do Maplin or Richer Sounds do TVs? We've had some good bargains there before.
blue_eyed_girl[/Bl-Going to the cinema in the afternoon is great. It's not full of chattering kids and it's usually cheaper!
pixtotts-Sounds like all is going well.On paper he might not fit your rules, but when it comes to the heart, all rules go out of the window! My hubby is almost 20 years older than me and for some reason we just fit. Been married almost 12 years now. Have fun!!!
Mrsinvisble-a 49p coat!!! WOW! That's some bargain. :T
Been working on my crochet throw today. Had to watch the youtube video for it several times as I just don't understand the pattern at all! But it's coming along nicely so far. Will need to get back on youtube at the end of the ball, though as I have no idea how to start a new ball. :rotfl: Both scarves I've made have been one balls worth of wool. What would I do without the internet???Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Great bargain! I hope Argos do honour the price. I'll forgo the cream cakes as although they do sound lovely, I don't like cream.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Back from my holidays. It was fab, relaxing and the sun shone most of the time too. Even got a bit of a tan but it faded as we landed back home:rotfl: I feel a lot better and refreshed for the break, which was the main reason for going away.

MRSINVISIBLE oh isnt it funny how we get so frustrated and angry over something that is meant to make our lives so much easier, blooming technology! Wow now that is a bargain well done
RUTH im not surprised you are still angry, i hate people treating others badly and being rude
BETSIE2010 that is another thing that is annoying about technology as well, flipping buffering :rotfl:
