Florenceem gosh the very thought of kippers and custard yuck! I thought my dad was bad with beans and brown sauce on porridge :( no wonder I'm traumatised xxx
b_e_g trust me that is very interesting to me :) I've spent yet another day shuffling from bed to sofa and back, still I've started some steroids now due to my silly old chest so things will be soon on the up :) xxx
Linky my lovely! hang on in there :) You know we are here if you need us. How clever are you using Pinterest for that. Off I go ooooooooh another few hours lost xxx
Freespirit DDs friend and her family have just been to see Matilda in London they said it was amazing. I think you may be in luck with your heating. Don't know why it hadn't occurred to me before but if the HA aren't servicing your boiler (regardless of who installed it- you will obviously play dumb) I imagine they are breaking the law. My HA service ours every 8/9 months fit carbon monoxide monitors etc they'd be responsible if they were found to be faulty wouldn't they? I do know my HA don't do anything they don't have to! Fingers crossed. You can come and stay at mine whilst they do it :) What Disney Classic did you treat yourself too today? DH and I have just watched Captain Philips, managed to convince him after Mrs M mentioned it again earlier. Another brilliant performance by the wonderful Tom Hanks :) The only problem I had was due to snuggling on the sofa with snuggle blanket my varifocals couldn't manage the subtitles and my Somalian is not that good, but I got the gist. Will be a classic I would imagine. Don't think I've seen Tom Hanks in a poor film yet. Aha. Reminds me "BIG" should also be on my top ten list ha (but I have to shut my eyes at the fortune telling machine bit- gives me the shivers) night night SFAM xxx

    morning all
glad you enjoyed Capt Philips nanamia, another good tom hanks one is the terminal, def worth a watch if youve not seen it.

hope everyone is well and the weather is being kind - we had a heavy downpour here earlier but now have fluffy white clouds with bits of blue poking through.
hoping to watch the sewing bee tonight, ive already downloaded the pencil skirt pattern in readiness (but not sure if i need to buy the mag for instructions or if i can wing it by just watching the programme.

not sure what would be in my top ten films
    would be something like
wonderful life (has to be black and white version)
    the book thief
    Rocky
    king kong
electric dreams - but i think thats the song more than the film
    elf
any of the disney classic films like cinderella, snow white, sleeping beauty etc (or is that cheating?)
    war horse
will have to think about the rest there are so many i love watching at the weekend we caught call of the wild by accident and really enjoyed seeing that again.

hoping to sort some wool out this week to make my niece a cardi for her birthday, also working on tigercubs greenery and i do keep looking to the ironing basket.

Oh thanks for that info NANAMIA he did ask why we dont have it serviced by them, i said i have never been offered it, plus he said they still had us down for electric heating, well i know for a fact ex rang up and asked if we could pay for gas to be installed and put in a central heating system and they said yes because they werent going to do it, then within two years they installed it in everyones property  now i know that i can keep pressing them (or rather DD1 im too much of a wuss) i am still suffering after effects of having him in here last night :( I watched Bambi, goodness i havent watched it for years, probably more like 20 years!! You wont believe this but i hate that bit on BIG as well :D:D:D:D Ooh i need to see Captain Philips now.... Hope you are feeling better today x

i love all the books ive read by michael morgurgo, (he wrote the book war horse) think they are more aimed at older children/teens and most have animals in as main characters but all are worth reading.

if you liked war horse i would think youd go for the book thief as well.

Woo Hoo :j. Hope you have a lovely time.

DH has hinted that he was maybe suggesting of going to cinema to see Book Thief but I must confess I don't really like going to cinema as I just can't seem to get comfy and get very restless. Would much prefer to wait until it comes out on dvd/streaming or whatever. He suggested we could go on an afternoon with all the pensioners  - we maybe are getting old but not that old. :rotfl:

Nanamia - headboard is made and up on the wall. :j DH was not impressed as we had to go to get more upholstery pins as the tops kept coming off. We actually got through 70 pins on a single headboard. Hope the meds are working for you. x

Just remembered I'm at dentist at 8.15 in the morning to have proper crown fitted.

Watching last night's 8 out of 10 Cats - how on earth they get away with saying some of the things, I do not know :D. Did anyone see Peter Kay on Friday night, he is another favourite.

Having lamb shanks for tea and they have been in the oven what seems like ages - the smell gorgeous.

    Take care everyone
