Maybe we should set up a mse for sale page on fb or somewhere. I have loads of ds stuff to sell in the new year, castle of doom, wii games plus clothes, shoes etc. Cant be arsed with ebay anymore but might be a good way to sell on things and save money? Is it doable or will it be too much hassle?
Ive used the local sale pages on fb before, they work quite well as long as invite only, otherwise you end up with spammers and dog breeders overloading the pages.

I'm happy to create it if someone volunteers to co run it.
    Let me know your thoughts.

  • Afternoon everyone, DS has gone off out to the sales, while DD1 and i are just having a PJ/Duvet day, i just cannot face going shopping with crowds and crowds of people, stroppy people at that, just parking is a major pain before you even get in the shops

Thanks mandco, freespirit and pigpen. Funnily enough the last time DS was sick it was the early hours of my birthday :-P He still had a good day, lots of family making a fuss of him, and opened presents gradually over two days. SIL told me she'd rushed her son (7) to open everything before they headed to family for Christmas dinner. That's not my way, if anything I encourage DS to enjoy one gift at a time, even if it takes more than a day. He is much better and ate a bit today after refusing food previous 2 days.
Now I just have to figure out where to put all the new toys. A clearout is needed asap :-P

FLUFFY aah so glad he is feeling better and starting to eat something :)

.. when she thought she had finished and the 2 y/o was still slowly unwrapping. We found a couple more unopened in her bag but how sad does she look?

Aaaah bless her, i would have to laugh though she still looks so sweet
    Found you all :)
Sorry I've been MIA, but you may remember I was feeling a bit under the weather Christmas Eve? Well it developed into full blown lurgy, I had to leave Christmas at the in law by 8pm as I could barely function. We then had 3 separate family gatherings Boxing Day that I had to cancel as was feeling so dire :( I'm slowly improving :)
I will be done for Christmas by the end of November, as refuse to be stressed and ill for the third year running!

Oh no FEISTY poor you :( hope you are feeling a bit better today, its probably your bodies way of telling you to slow down after all the stress you have been through, sending you hugs x

Oh QUIDSY i am totally not tech savvy, im sure our lovelies would know more about this sort of thing, im sure a lot of people are fed up with ebay as well, especially with this new post fee

Mine never bothered with happyland at all and we had loads. They played a little with little people but duplo was and still is a fave.. my 14 y/o still plays with it!!

Only 1 of my boys ever played with cars.

A fb page restricted just to us festive sorts is a great idea.. would it include our crafts and outgrown clothes as well as toys/gifts???

    Afternoon all ,
Ive manage to buy my parents gifts for next christmas and a lot of paper from M & S ,i will buy bits for oh & dd as i see them hopefully i can pick up some bits for dd at the Dr Who experience shop in April.

I m not brave enough to venture to the sales but we are going to Botany Bay tomorrow.

The dog has gone from bad to worse we had him back to the vets yesterday and he was limping badly but i didn't realise it wasn't the leg with the dodgy knee it was his other back leg ! The vet thinks he has damaged his cruciate ligament and if it doesn't heal they will have to operate on that leg first before they sort his knee out. He has meds and has to go back Jan 10th .

Pigpen it could be whatever we wanted on there. The main thing being no spammers and restricted to us and those we invite.

    freespirit66 - I have PMd you

    Dunkeydory - Welcome

FluffySox - So sorry to hear about your son being ill on xmas eve. Like someone on here said you will laugh about this in the future. When it was the millennium we went to a NYE party with hubby and DD (6 months old) and were staying over. We got there and she started projectile vomiting. We saw the millennium in at home in bed with a sick baby. At least its an interesting story for when shes older. :o

    Pigpen - Shes a cutie!

FeistyFidget - Sorry you have been rough and glad you are on the mend.

MrsChristmas - I use the "Better Xmas" app. Its not free (but wasnt a lot) but its been a lifesaver and has saved me so much time and money by being organised and not duplicating gifts.

ChrissyG - Sorry to hear about your dog.

I am currently in pyjamas, half watching "Epic" on DVD, and half mucking around online. DD and DS are also in their pyjamas and hubby sprawled on floor, and we are all eating party food and nibbles. This is a better Boxing Day than our actual Boxing Day :D

    xx
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D
  • Hi all, lurgy here too, keeping it in check with lems*p and whisky!! lol
littlies have been for new trainers at the local new b*l*nce factory shop, and daddy has taken gdd swimming. DGS1 is expected anytime and then the mayhem begins.
I have not ventured to the shops except a mildforay toAsd* on boxing day for milk and bread, but I havejust been online, and bought another greenhouse, small enough to be able to afford to heat it in spring and use as a propagation unit. Checked this morning and I have 1/2 a greenhouse all over th garden again, courtesy of our wonderful gale force winds.
Hope the lurgers recover, and that the sales improve, well done all you organised people, Cavalry cometh!
