!!!!!! is this? I am only the RK which AFAIC means POFA only applies ICC (in certain cases). My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Dear Redx
I have just been to the same car park, and the reg is actually printed on the tickets very small font and looks more like a reference as no spaces, I previously said the ticket didnt have the reg on it, my daughter didnt notice it. Therefore just before I prepare the letter Im wondering if I should still add item 3) Your signage is inadequate, and does not comply with the BPA Code of Practice?
Many thanks, again0 -
yes , always include it as its a matter of opinion anyway
the point here is you dont prove if it is or not, you make THEM prove that it is
do not do their job for them, or make their tasks any easier
if they played fair then people would not be "up in arms" about them0 -

Why not add a bit to the generic template appeal above and say:
'The driver did display a ticket but your signage was not clear and in no way made it clear that drivers are supposed to enter a car registration number as well as the money. The ticket has since been discarded but you have clearly made no loss and UKCPS do not own this car park either, so you have no cause to charge me. I am handling this appeal as registered keeper, as is my right, and will appeal to POPLA if you reject my challenge. The driver will not be named so don't insult my intelligence with a generic holding response pretending I have to name the driver. Any such delaying tactics without cancellation or a POPLA code, will be reported to the BPA Ltd.'PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, who'd have thought I'd be chuckling away, with added lol, when Sandarra's daughter's illegal, unenforceable invoice has not yet been revoked.
I'll just dob them in here and now: posts 20,21,22. About to invoice you both; will think of a reason any day now[I fancy £100 each for a birthday treat next week].
Sandarra, the people who consistently monitor and advise on these Threads are so generous with their time and sound advice. Please do reassure your daughter.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

what she thought was a kind gesture from a stranger is costing dearly, it also makes me wonder if this is entrapment after all not many people would refuse a ticket.
Out of the question. That sort of thing doesn't happen. The bottom line is that a ticket was purchased for time on the premise and this was not abused. All this 'enter your reg' malarkey is a step too far even for parking companies. They are mere agents, not authorities. I very much doubt any judge would buy the "enter reg" requirement as a valid condition, least of all in your case. One ticket=one space; no limit on cars.0 -
''Out of the question. That sort of thing doesn't happen.''
Allegedly happened all the time at Haworth, with the notorious ex-clamping family who seemed to have the Police in the palm of their hand. But in this case I doubt it's entrapment by the person who paid for the ticket - seems like a form of entrapment though when the P&D machine doesn't make it clear about putting in a car reg so in this case all 3 parkers would have got a PCN from UKCPS, when the lady who first had the ticket in fact had paid for the whole time for all three. No loss suffered at all, all three people parking in good faith thinking it was their lucky day that a lady paid for their time.
Easy money for UKCPS if the first-arrived lady and the elderly guy are daft enough to pay them or do a bad POPLA appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
