Marks and Spencer Sale Bargains

  • There is a technical problem on the M&S website which is preventing the option of free delivery to store on some orders. I phoned customer services and the operator told me to place my order online whilst I was on the phone and then give her my order number. She then refunded the delivery charge to my account while I was on the phone.

The operator said the technical team were working to fix the problem. With my recent orders it has been any order which includes a sale item that won't allow delivery to store. HTH:)

Oh dear Marks and Spencer another black mark to add to the many.

I have emailed them, will see what they say. On a positive note, it states that the items have been dispatched already. :T

I am waiting for my fifth refund of delivery charge. I now just go ahead, try for store collection and when that sends me back to start, order for home delivery and then complete online refund request. It takes a while because they won't do it until whole order despatched. I could phone, but I'd have to pay for call and they keep you hanging on for ages. I cannot understand, if they know about this 'glitch' why they don't provide a free delivery code. It would save them a lot of work. Maybe they are hoping people will just go ahead and pay anyway, but in reality they will have lost a lot of sales.

Edited to add, 2pm: Maybe they've sorted problem now as I was just able to place order for store delivery

Is the online refund request easy to access

Not very easy - trial and error got me there in end. Ignore returns and refunds at bottom of webpage. Select 'contact us' then 'contact us by email' Then from dropdown list select 'returns and refunds'. You will see your latest order, or choose older one from list. You might need to then scroll to right (the 'continue' is off the page on my pc), and fill in reason you are asking for refund.

Same things happened to me, online sale shopping is very unreliable, apart from John Lewis that is - their orders are always there the next working day without fail.

Beware - I used to think that, but recently have been getting annoying text/e-mail messages to tell me things won't be there for 2.00 pm as promised. Usually there the next day, but I never get a follow up message to tell me that!

Not much left worth having but just managed to get a few skincare sets in the basket & checkout okay for delivery to store - whether or not it materialises is a differant matter!

Will pop into town after work and have a quick look if there's anything left!

John Lewis is reliable - they do honour your purchase - but their delivery is awful as their timeslots are a joke.

Today got quite a few bits and bobs in store.

A Gardeners set with a tin marked string and a ball of string and some hand cream and barrier cream. Was £15 now £6, a gardeners duo of hand cream and handwash was £7.50 for £3.75 and a cute mug with robins on it and two small tubes of hand cream and barrier cream was either £5 or £6 for £3.

From their formula skin care range got face make up wipes £3 for £1, intensive overnight hand cream £6 for £2 and extra rich night cream £5 for £2.

Also lovely fancy individual christmas cards for husband, wife, granny and grandad were £5 for £1.
For little stocking fillers or for the charity shoeboxes I got a little set of four bead bracelets with a little charm and a ring was £5 for £1
and set of 4 hair clips with a heart shaped jewel on them £4 for £1.
