    Legal Team...Seriously?

You asked them to take the money, now follow the procedure and get it back again. Writing means a letter in the post, not an email.

i have told them ive been off work for 4 days due to this

Four days? It takes 20 seconds on Google to find their website with details of where to write for a refund, then max 10 minutes to write a letter.

  • If you weren't off work, don't tell them you were. Why on earth would you do that?

Oh, and next time read the T&Cs of anything you give your card dets to VERY carefully!

just so they would have a little fright into the potential loss of earnings they may have to pay out!!

greedy people as they are wont like to part with dosh.....easier for them to pay my money back than pay an excess amount back

e mal replied too and nobody said they would reply so may have worked!!:d maybe something to use going forward with scammers like these

play them at their own game

Uhhh, you already gave them you money. As for the email reply, they'll be stringing you along until you eventually stop bothering.

Ain't much of a contest, to be fair!

What a load of tosh. Read what you've just typed and consider how ridiculous the bravado is in reality.

The best way to play these companies is to not use them.

Get a grip on reality. Request the refund in the manner and timescales laid out in their terms and conditions and then walk away.

Get a grip on your finances and move forwards.

They'd never pay out for loss of earnings because (a) you agreed to their contract when you paid them, (b) you'd have to prove loss of earnings / breach of contract from them and they have more lawyers than you and (c) you've just admitted on here that you didn't take time off and are BSing.

You won't be the first person to try and threaten them with legal action, and you won't be the first one to succeed either.

They have a documented procedure for getting a refund (minus a few quid brokerage fee), which involves writing to them at the address given:
A Member can terminate or cancel their membership within 14 days of inception by requesting cancellation in writing to the following address: Cash Locator Cornwall Buildings, 45 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 3QR

Doing anything else is just wasting your own time.
