Workmen went away on Friday afternoon Sylvia and won't be back until 8.30am on Tuesday. They aren't keen on long hours or working too hard but "the devil you know" and all that!
Bills will be through the roof anyway as we are taking all the family out for DS's 18th next Sunday and DD to Ayr on Saturday for hers. Then another family reunion when DS1 comes at beginning of June! Got a shock when I checked bank account yesterday never mind after that.

Oh cracking up Sheils, sorry I thought I read that there were there today. Yes its always expensive when extra family stay. We always spend a lot more when we go down to DD2's. She just tootles off to work with nothing in mind for tea until she returns, so we always end up spending and cooking. Taking GD out during the day is expensive too as she has the appetite of a horse.:) We love her to bits though.

Well done on your second fanimal win fire**fly :T :j Good luck with winning more for the family :) I won another this morning on first attempt so that's 3 for my kids then I will try for one for the school as a football theme. Just hope it's not too cheeky for the kids! :p

It's rained here through night too Sylvia and this morning so glad I've got my lawn mowed as well yesterday! Hope the sun gets back out as I'm taking DD to adventure point in Darlington. Not sure if you've been before with GK's but they have an outside play area too with sand, animals and swings. Just hope my sis is still coming!
    Enjoy your family dinner :)

Great news your son is home Sheils :) That will be nice having all the family home. Hope you get all your work in the house done soon and back to normality! I know how stressful it is getting DIY done! :o We should have been getting kitchen fitted tomorrow. :( Hopefully Thursday now! *she says crossing her fingers!* :p

Good luck with the times comps Rose/Bella/Oddies ;) Have a good day xx

Gonna go take mutley for a walk while rain has stopped!

DD never used to eat much when we went out Sylvia, used to feel mean asking for a few chicken nuggets or a plate of chips. She is eating well now though. I never know who will be eating here so loads of times DH and I have to eat the left overs the next day and if I don't make something everyone appears.

Bucketing down here wingo. How long will it take them to fit your kitchen?

    Hello, lovelies. :)

Been taking a month off of comping as I haven't been that well. Slowly getting back into it, but I'm using the iPad instead of my laptop as I find it easier and not so heavy.

Hope you've all been winning lots. :)

Hello LadyM - lovely to hear from you again and I hope you feel rested :) And hello LuckyOne - great to see your sunny flowers brightening up the inn - will pop you in a vase on the windowsill!

Shiels, hope you are enjoying a quiet and easy Sunday before you kids arrive and the workmen again on Tuesday! I bet you will be so glad of your next break away in a few weeks!

Rose! Hope you are enjoying your cooker and remembering the hourly comps! I always think they make the day whizz over!
Great idea to use an egg timer FF! Love your pink piggy one! Well done on your fanimal wins too and have a good time pottering in the garden, now that the sun is shining!

Wingo, hope you enjoyed your day out to the adventure point in Darlington - it has been dry here at the coast, so hope it stayed dry for you too!

Sylvia - I love your timer too but I couldn't stand the ticking! I cannot even have a clock in my home that ticks! My mum is the opposite to me - she has an old ticky clock that she has by her bed and she cannot sleep without it! She even takes it on holiday with her!

It has been a bright and mild day here today - such a dramatic change from the cold weather and ground frost only a day or so ago! The weather is defo becoming wacky! Anyway, my youngest DD is feeling much better but has just taken it easy on the couch with her favourite blankie. My other three have played in the garden while I sprayed our shed and cleaned my ceramic pots. I am going to enjoy a glass of rose later and watch Vera! I like to watch that to see the local scenes! Enjoy the rest of your afternoon and May the 4th be with you!
