Yes, Shiels - when they are friends I often think it is best to be out while they work as I find friends take longer with the job because they chat more over tea or coffee and they often just try to 'fit you in' in-between other jobs! My ensuite took 5 months to be completed because the fitter was my dad's friend and he offered to do it for a fraction of the price for 'cash in hand'! But he would maybe work on it for 1-2 days a week or would leave early or start late so it took ages! I often thought that I would have rather just paid a company more just to come in and fit it all in a single week!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I am staying out of their way as much as possible Bella! Had to find something for them earlier and they started chatting about my Harrogate break. They will keep going and get it finished though. Neither are VAT registered either so it does save quite a lot and it isn't as bad as having strangers about. The banging is driving me mad though. We had the whole upstairs put in about 17 years ago which took 6 weeks which was terrible - different workmen all over the place.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Have found out what was going on last night some idiots were trying to pull a cash machine out the wall with a JCB in town centre . They obviously were not very bright as there are cameras all over the place. Also postie delivered a CD while I was out.0

Hi Rose, they did that to the village my DD1 lives in a couple of years ago. Well done on your CD Win.
Hope you are managing with the banging Sheils. We have got it to come in July as the Council are replacing the kitchen, bathroom and toilet also all the electrics. We have to clear the bedrooms out as they have to get the floor boards up. They say they will take it all to storage and bring it back when they have finished. It is taking two weeks so not sure what we will do yet.
firefly - I took my ipad to the pub when we went for breakfast this morning and did some of the clickies. Also it was nice when we got back so we sat outside having lunch and thought I would try the ipad outside. It was fine as I had got an anti-glare film protector for the front. It was £17 from Curries. Could have got a cheaper one but was glad I went for this one.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Yes firefly, things are much better now we are back home. Unfortunately I was so busy while we were away that I missed some but find I just have to let them go and not let it worry me. DH kept on plodding for us so that was good. He has had a book win today as well.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0

Hi Rose! Wow obviously brainless young hooligans lol! Hope they get caught! Well done on your CD win too!
Sylvia, your iPad sounds great! You must be lucky with the weather too if you were sitting outside after lunch and using your anti glare screen! Been cloudy and cold here today! Brrrr! And well done on your DH's book win!
I won a Caudalie Anti'Ox box, full of skincare goodies on Monday and it arrived today! The skincare goodies look great and it also has a kind of squidgy ball for gripping to relieve stress and it is wonderful! I have found that if I am on my laptop and using my mouse a lot with my right hand, the fingers on my right hand get bads cramp in them and they often seize up. Anyway, I have been squeezing the ball today when my hand starts to tingle and it has really helped! So a bonus!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
