It sounds like you have had a very wise spending spell iluvcats, well done. You will love your soup maker I am sure. I only used the recipe in the book once and then just do my own. We like the smooth soup. Our favorite is carrot and sweet potato or sometimes add sweed/parsnip. I usually add veg stock cube or the little stock pots + coriander or basil/garlic. They never taste the same twice running which is nice. You can also thin it down with hot water if it is too thick for you. Really you can stick anything you like in it.
Love you pics today firefly, we are just having a cheese toastie for tea.
Sounds like you are having a really nice stay away Sheils. Looking forward to the pics, please.
Hope you have a lovely meal out elle.
Hi Kate, glad you are OK.
Nice to see you in the Inn Walwin.
Are you OK Wingo? Saw the pic of your Mam and Dad on FB, so lovely.
Had a nice day with DD1 and OH + 3. We had another mini Christmas as the GK's decided they would wait for their presents until we got back.
Have a nice evening everyone.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Had a lovely day - weather stayed nice for us and we did quite a bit of walking at Morecambe and then walked into Lancaster (about 2 miles from hotel beside the river)Got myself a new bag in Next with my Xmas vouchers and then went to Boots where I checked points but didn't have quite enough for any of the half price gift sets. Machine gave me a 150 extra points if you spend £15 though so bought an Aramis set for £21 for DHs birthday and then had enough points for a Taylor Swift set for DDs birthday so pleased with that.
Had a lovely meal in Bella Italia using Tesco Tokens so only had the wine and a tip to pay. Got a taxi back though as we had had enough walking for one day. Just had our free drink from the hotel and DH is now snoring his head off in the room!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Glad you had a good meal and walk. Also you managed to get som bargains from Boots.
Forgot to mention we got some lovely gift from the family while we were away and also got various M & S vouchers to the value of £270 so well pleased. DD1 and family here got me perfume and a lap tray which I find very useful when they all come here.
firefly - I had a lovey cheese omelet breakfast from Sainsbury's while we were away.

Never tried parsnip and apple but sounds nice.
Will use the vouchers wisely, probably in the sales. Can also use them at Dalton Park M & S outlet so will probably look there as well. Its good when you can use them at the outlet stores as well.

Yes I have used vouchers at Gretna's retail outlet. DS1 often gets me M&S vouchers either for my birthday or mothers day (they can be pretty close together) I like M&S's T-shirts and have been known to spend all the vouchers on them when they have an offer on. Went to spend vouchers in Chester last year and they had 2 T-shirts for £10 and then they had a blue cross event with 20% off and the 20% came off the full amount rather than the 2 for £10 so ended up with a real bargain without even trying.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
