We are staying at the Luxor so we were thinking about getting the monorail pass but we are not sure if we will use it that often! Decisions!
we went for the 7-day monorail pass last time (BOGOF)...it we were staying at Bally's for the first 4 or 5 nights we had the pass so at a hotel with a station, and then at TI which isn't far from Harrah's so we thought we would get plenty of use...we barely used it and in the end probably didn't even quite enough value out of it to cover the $ cost - would have been better off buying a couple of one-day passes...we like the monorail sometimes but while we thought having the pass would mean we would use it loads it just didn't work out that way. We either found ourselves somewhere that was quite a way from a station and ended up getting a taxi or we ended up just walking as getting back to the station at the back of a property was not that much less of a walk than going where we were going.
If we did it again we might do a one-day or something, but we wouldn't go for a longer-term one. If they weren't BOGOF they would be better value (obviously!)
Have a great trip!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I know penny, hence the cheeky email to them about the comp upgrade to the suite....
Booking a suite upgrade offer with them is $500 or you can go through booking.com and pay just over £300.., etc
Mines £192 !0 -
MyVegas - has anyone done the Mirage breakfast buffet reward? And sorry if someone has and I've forgotten...I am confused as it is badged as breakfast, but when you click on it it then references breakfast or lunch in one place...then breakfast alone in another...the hours are listed for breakfast and lunch.
If it would cover either it would be of more interest to us but the varying references make me nervous.
As we're staying there 2 nights I thought it might be a reasonable reward to go for.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Thanks for all the replies everyone! I had looked into flights from Dublin as I have flown to Orlando from there and US customs in Dublin was much faster. Don't want to change flights in the US though but never thought about a change in London which will hopefully save some money (although obviously I won't be able to pass through immigration).
Thanks for the heads up on the Cosmopolitan location LD. Sounds perfect for us.
Does anyone know if the pool parties will have begun in mid May? Also, is the MyVegasRewards worth doing in relation to travelling with a large group?0 -
Hi. Seat elections are now available for the return for my September flights, but not the outward journey yet weirdly. Anyway does anyone know if it's worth paying $49 per seat upgrade to economy comfort with delta. Looking at seats 15a and b on a boeing 767-400.
Thanks0 -

I did the Mirage (Cravings) breakfast buffet with MyVegas rewards back in Nov 2012. I was able to use it for the champagne brunch which gives you extra value. However, since then, MyVegas have seriously tightened up their Ts&Cs (many of which are very poorly explained and confusing!) so I wouldn't like to advise you with any degree of certainty. While Cravings is fine and nice for a freebie, I wouldn't rave about it to the extent that many seem to.0 -

Thanks
Is that leg a shortish leg though as Economy comfort is usually more than that on the long legs
EDIT of course there is the added benefit of being near the front at border control and free spirits if thats important0 -
Just over £30 a seat, IMO yes its worth it. Seats are not very wide as those seats will have the video in the arm rest making it narrower than normal economy seats but you will have loads of legroom and loads of recline and you wont bother the person behind if you do recline as they will be further behind you than in economy

We've got indirect flight, so that's the 8 hours back from Minneapolis. We'll want to sleep on that if possible, so the extra leg room and being able to recline would be good, the spirits will help to knock us out too. Do you not get free spirits in normal economy? On the way out it is $119 each, which is probably a bit steep, although it's 10 hours. What do you think? Have you flown economy comfort with delta before?

Yes I have flown economy comfort with Delta. I dont think I would pay $119 each on the way out although the outward leg is prob when you would benefit most with being able to near the front in the queue to border control but if you have plenty of time between legs that wont matter.
I dont think you get free spirits in economy only beer and wine0 -
I know we've done this sort of thing before, but it's fun and I'm getting excited about going!
What are the first things you do when you arrive in Vegas?
What are the regular things you have to do / places you have to go each trip?0
