getting excited, should be able to book our seats tomorrow (60 days in advance)... it's teasing at the moment as the seat map is available, you can select seats, but it's just saying 'seats are unavailable'.... it's obviously just getting prepared.

we're flying Virgin from LGW, I'll bring up the age-old question, where do people prefer to sit?

i'm aiming for a couple of seats in the bubble again (quieter, on first, off first).

We go in two weeks, we have booked into the bubble for the first time.

On another note, the mother in law is coming , her first time to vegas, was thinking of taking her to the top of the world restaurant at the stratosphere. Does anyone have any opinions on if its worth it? Its on our to do list as me and hubby haven't visited the strat on our two previous visits.

I haven't eaten there but if you mainly want the view, another option is the Level 107 lounge for some pre-dinner drinks. They have a happy hour 4-7pm which will cover sunset at this time of year.

you guys are one day later than us us then - we had this yesterday with the tease of the seat map appearing but the unavailable message...FWIW I was able to select our seats about 8:30 this morning and not when the timer hit <60 days. It is a nice feeling when they finally go through...it's a little landmark in the run up to the trip, isn't it? :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I think it's a difficult one...I thought the food was not great particularly for the price - I was really very disappointed in the food...but agree that the experience was pretty special...and I know a lot of other people had different experiences on the food so maybe we were just unlucky.

I am glad that we did it once though.

we're flying PE and were really pleased to get the pair downstairs with no one and no loo behind us...so I was extra pleased to see no one had selected them when I checked this morning.

thanks penny - I didn't know that...will keep that in mind for the return leg...I will be glad when 1st April rolls around and picking at the time you book is the norm again. :)

Another vote for 107 lounge. Happy hour is worth the trip for sure.

They used to have a band and singer later in the evening. They were great, but I believe they replaced them with a DJ sometime last year.
