I'm surprised you have trouble keeping points. I thought you were there more often than us.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Hi Guys,
It's not the redemption points I'm worried about. It's the points we had on our cards already.
I know you have to have at least 1 transaction every 6 months, and I was going to use the redemption as a transaction but it hasn't been done yet. So I will get the redemption points but lose the points already on the cards.
I'll go to the TR desk at Planetho when we get there with the redemption email and see if they can put our points back on.. I hope you get them back.
Sorry, I had forgotten about your mum.0 -

I remembered you guys saying you always kept 1000 safe and couldn't remember why...this is a good reminder for me. I have been terrible about social rewards lately, I need to get cracking.
I found that it could take 2 weeks for them to credit which is just crazy...sorry, stoneman, if I had thought I would have mentioned the possible delay - I do hope you get to keep the accumulated points as I know you lost out previously.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I had a feeling it was other points you were worried about losing, I know you've not been doing Social Rewards that long. I have a feeling you have lost them before.
Hopefully speaking to them at the desk will help. Fingers crossed for you. No fun losing points. We have had to do stuff with our US airways points before to keep them active as they have 18 month expiry if no activity. The free flight just seems to get further out of reach each time we earn points though the number of points for a flight seems to get higher!! Can't win, but hopefully one day we'll get something from it!!0 -
Just seen the Virgin flight LGW to LAS today has had to turn round to do a NON standard landing.
Looks like it is back on the ground at Gatwick OK though
It did get down ok thank god, one of its landing gear was stuck, pics all over the news sites now0 -
Looks like they are going to be taken by coach from the runway to the terminal at Gatwick. Any MSE ers on board?0

just heard the same thing...is it today lizzielie and her hubby were due to fly, or was that yesterday? I hope yesterday and hope no one else was on board as I can imagine it was a bit scary.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Glad everyone is safe, though I imagine that they are a bit narked that the safe landing was at Gatwick not LAS!
Anyone know why that is? ie if the pilot identifies a potential problem with landing gear, why not wait til destination?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I wouldnt think any pilot having identified a problem would then continue to fly for another 10 hours
I suspect there would be serious repercussions if it happened.
LGW is Virgins base so its back up crew and technical team will be there not in LAS.
This was a seriouis problem and the pilot didnt know if he could land safely
Edit
I am not a pilot and dont have a definitive answer but I would be concerned about crossing the Atlantic knowing that we may crash land0
