Being a bit lazy as I'm off to the football ... I seem to recall mentions of a Vegas discount card on this thread.
Which one is best for general hotel / retail use over 48 hours and where do I get it from?
Thanks!0 -

As always, huge thanks to everyone for their help and making my mornings a bit brighter (always look forward to the daily email from this thread!). We're an hour away from heading to the airport, got to hate the wait! First stop London and a night out to celebrate hubby's birthday tomorrow
His day will be spent on a plane heading to Vegas! Have a good everyone and cannot wait for the new thread with more Vegas stuff

ye thank you , I had noticed the thread(the 2015) one already and it seemed in its very early stages but still worth a look!
My brother and i had went to vegas back in july and loved it, though we felt we had missed out on some things(mostly the shows!) and we have booked up for a combo next june(new york and then on to vegas!) counting down the weeks and days(something like 22-23 weeks):D0 -

Hi
Im unsure if its the same discount card you may be referring to but when my brother i stayed in the mgm grand back in july we were told we could get a Mlife card and you got points for like machine and table play(i think you could *redeem*them off some of your bill if you had enough points).Plus the shops in the mgm grand (and some other hotels too which fall under the mgm grand *bussiness*i tihnk the word is) i guess and well we had the sapphire card and if i recall it gave you 5% off purchases.
If your not staying at the mgm im sure other hotels have similar kinda cards.
The front page has alot of useful info there and might be worth a look.
hope this helps0 -

I'm not sure which you're thinking of - could be the Las Vegas Advisor membership ($37 if you pick up the coupon book when you get there), the American Casino Guide (you can buy it on amazon but be sure to order the 2015 edition).
There are sites with coupons you can print for shopping, shows, food, etc.
Check the first page for links to these

For 48 hours I wouldn't think either of the ones you pay for would necessarily be good value unless you have a second trip planned during the year...which of the rest will be good for you will depend on what you plan to do. Probably best to get an idea what you want to do and see if there are any vouchers that cover those things.
As bobbyhibs says, all the casinos have players clubs and most will give some sort of discount for many of their dining and retail establishments, though it may only be 5-10% or so. The first page has links to the main players clubs as well and you can see what they offer for members (membership is free).

Well I had to put some points on our TR cards before 28th December or we would lose the points we already have.
Did Social rewards and transferred 3000 points each last week but they still haven't gone on, I stupidly thought that they would go on when I transferred them over not more than a week later.
So looks like we are once again going to be victims of TR's totally unfair 6 month rule.
Like the one that casinos use for the TITO vouchers. You put CASH in, but if you pull it out it is no longer treated as cash, because it then has an expiry date. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Try this link, say you sent the Redemption in a couple of weeks ago.
I had a problem with missing redemptions and after going through that link they were credited next day.Worth a shot0 -
Stoneman, we redeem 1000 at a time through the year. We always leave a 1000 cushion in case we don't make it there every 6 months.
I'm surprised you have trouble keeping points. I thought you were there more often than us.0 -
Yes Stoneman, try emailing and hopefully that will save your points.
As pebbles says though, you need to redeem as and when you have 2000 points - redeem 1000 at that point, keeping 1000. That way if it stops for some reason you'll have that 1000 sitting that you could transfer at the latest opportunity.
Hopefully if you contact them it will save them. I'm thinking you are due to fly out very soon, if so why not print your redemption email and take it and ask in person (if you don't want to wait for an email reply). Hubby had some issues with a redemption one time and although he contacted them I don't think he ever got the points. We were never totally sure but we suspected he never got them.0
