Just looked at myvegas rewards again.it looks like some rewards are now being duplicated.with it costing twice as many points for the reward,if you don't want a hotel stay involved.
For instance Mandalay Bay lunch buffet for two is 46000 points, but now requires a hotel stay. But the same lunch buffet for two is also
available for double the LPs 92000 but doesn't require a hotel stay.
that's interesting...I know on some the 2 buffets have cost a lot more points than 2x1 for awhile but sometimes they worked better for us...at least it does look like they have updated things so if a reward requires a hotel stay it says that early on and not once you get to the point of entering your details to redeem.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Pennylane is right. You can only redeem each reward once for each batch they release. The more popular rewards get re-released more often, usually with a rise in the lp's required to redeem, but not always.
For example, we have each redeemed the Bellagio lunch buffet four times and were allowed to buy another award each for our next trip.
There are exceptions too. Some of the room rewards, specifically bonus room rewards, allow three consecutive nights to be redeemed at once.
Also, and I expect most people already know this, the third party rewards do not count towards the three allowed.0 -
I don't. What do you mean by 'third party rewards'?0
-
Third party rewards are those for places not owned by MGM such as the Sugar Factory, LV monorail, etc.0

How often are reward batches changed ?
We have only ever redeemed rewards once, that was in May this year.
I purchased a Bellagio x2 lunch,and a Mirage x 2 lunch.I tried this week to redeem both those buffets again,but said I couldn't reedem,as I had already done so....or words to that effect.
How have you managed to redeem the Bellagio buffet four times, must have been a long time in between redemptions.I redeemed the first ones in March,so that's five months ago.....will they still be the same batch after that length of time for what must be a very popular reward ?
We have had to chose different rewards for some redemptions, adding things like Monte Carlo buffet, even though we don't really fancy it.:(
Might not bother with it anymore after this visit.0 -
The rewards are changed randomly (is that a word?)
The most popular are changed more frequently, I don't think there is a specific timetable.0 -
We redeemed the Bellagio buffet in Oct 2012, May 2013, Oct 2013, May 2014 and have just been allowed to redeem for our next trip which is Sep/Oct/Nov 2014.
I don't know if this an abberation, but they have allowed it every time so far.0 -
Thanks Pebbles
We redeemed in March, and used in May this year.Which is similar to your dates....I have a feeling it may be pot luck as to whether someone gets to redeem more than once.0 -

maybe it's coincidence but that would (I think) be one for each of you within a calendar year? As if I didn't already have trouble understanding this programme.
In any event, we're going to try a test case with the MC $50 dining credit, we think...we have both had it before and thought we could not get it again. I don't think that the points needed has changed though...I would have to look back to see for sure but if not then maybe we will be knocked back.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Madly excited - setting off for the airport today, flying tomorrow.
What are people's thoughts about checking in online with Virgin Atlantic? If I don't do it, my seats that I reserved will still be held, right? We have PE tickets so the queues shouldn't be bad tomorrow. Because of the time we're setting off today, online check in won't be open while we're still home.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58
