Pretty sure mine won't shut up about it until we get there. :) Had a look around and it looks awesome...I want to try to corn nuggets...those things have my name written all over them. I think it's shot pretty close to the top of the list now.

I thought those and the fried okra both sounded great but as we were sharing we went with things we would both eat. I'm a little more adventurous so sometimes lose out. I look forward to hearing about it from you!

In order of least to most dodgy

    Octavius
    Augustus
    Palace
    Forum
    Roman

There may be an argument on Palace/Forum...the former are bigger and pretty nice, the latter are more recently refurbished but smaller...the former are very close to the pool (come out of lift, walk forward, at pool), the latter is more convenient for access out of the property and the self-park. We're booked in Forum and are currently trying to decide if we are offered Palace will we take it? It seems like it takes forever to get out of Caesars from Palace tower.

Octavius/Augustus have the best placement in terms of access and are the nicest (Octavius is the newest tower)...you don't have to walk through the casino to get out of the property either.

Thanks Ferf I'll let her know, might bear this in mind for when we go back next year as like the look of the pools!

It was epic and the red onion strings were fantastic. My OH has not shut up about it since we left. He wishes we had gone on day 1 so we could have gone back.

I was down to my last dollar on giants gold when I hit the free spins and then got two extra lots of free spins during it. Reckon I had 50+ in the end. I could hear fee fi fo fum ringing in my ears for days after. Think I cashed out at around $20.

That looks amazing. My hubby also can't wait to go! It was already on my list of things to do this time along with the kiss mini golf and driving a train at the train museum.

I've looked at Tahiti village myself, for a family of four trip, what are your thoughts? Is this the one with Denny's on site?

I got a REALLY good price, which I can't reveal because it was a travel industry employee rate. But that aside, I really liked it.
If you are only in Vegas for 3-4 then you probably would be better with something more centre strip. But for 1-2 weeks this is perfect.

The pool & lazy river areas are fantastic. Being off strip means you aren't stuck in traffic every time you leave the hotel. If your family like shopping the south outlet mall & it's restaurants are just across the road (5 mins walk) If you don't have a rental car they run a free shuttle bus to the strip, and free excursions to places such as Red Rock Canyon. It's very close to the airport, so short transfer time.

The apartments themselves are nice, but I would go for the larger 1 bedroom, the Bora Bora (we had a week in each type)
The Bora Bora has a balcony, and a full kitchen and is much lighter.
I would say as an adult I didn't find the sofa bed very comfortable, but I think it would be OK for kids. They only clean twice a week, but that was fine for us.
It does have a Dennys on site, and they do takeout as well as eat in.

alictait - do you remember about where they are located at Town Square? I can't find them on the map and just trying to plan our visit..we probably won't do much other shopping so going for an easy-in/easy-out option if available.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

It's opposite the aveda shop which should be on the map. Have a look on the website before you go as there was no list of options. Think they are still getting set up. Also when we went the doughnuts didn't arrive till after 11am so don't go too early.
