I wish, we live in a unitary authority and they have different rules to most areas......housing and finance is a joke.

In our area you would only get the financial support if social services place them, but as in most cases family offer to have them or social services persuade them to offer then doesn't count for financial help from the authority....

Expensive pot noodles! They clearly weren't planning on buying them before they went to the store. More proof, to my mind, of how store layout is effective and does work. Pick up three or four pot noodles that you weren't going to buy and thus spend more! They should either buy them from Spar or get the T Eday ones in T vs them (Mr A)! We know how last week the expensive Frijj shakes should have been the Yazoo ones vs M (I'll find out tomorrow if that should still be on!). I'm pretty sure the single Heinz soups should be some of the 4 pack multis vs elsewhere, but even that is expensive in the light of the 'S'P/'Value' ones at around half the price and Crosse & Blackwell soup packs sometimes going down to £1.49 (for four). None of these 50p items are therefore savvy, or even good value, in my view.
