Gggrrr neighbour from downstairs knocking on our door to complain about our bed squeaking  Not in that way either, our bed is old and poo. My mister has apologised but unless she's gonna buy us a new bed, what can we do? She's said she's going to involve the council; good for her she can stick it up her bum :mad::mad:

Would a little oil or wd40 work on the joints?

I'm sure the Council will have more things to worry about!!

:jive just got the sada mocs in the post too:j

    Your neighbour sounds delightful :(

I can't imagine the council taking this very seriously :D

I think I read somewhere once that hairspray (or was it furniture polish?) works on squeaky things. I might have imagined that so off to google.....:)

Not good news, OH WILL NOT LET me have a dog. :(:(:(

We still got him, here until Friday. I am enjoying it and so are the kids, but OH not happy bunny, not really spoken to me since we had him. We haven't left him in the house on his own, as he just barks and whines constantly, when on his own, he is still following me to the toilet!!!!

We went for a walk round the shops yesterday, and OH moaned because we both couldn't go in together, and if he held the dog, he just whined until I came out (the dog that is, and the OH moans a lot aswell).

OH is adamant we are never having a dog, so think this is it, was a 2 week trial, while friend abroad and at least I know he is not going to cave in. :(:(:(:(:(:(

oh no thats not what i was hoping to hear for you.perhaps give it a bit of time and try with a different breed of dog.much as i love the springers we have had they are a handful.the cocker we have now is quieter but does follow you around everywhere.perhaps hes just unsettled being away from home, ours is as daft as a brush but doesnt like being away from home even going to my mums to stay over we were there but he still wouldnt eat as was homesick!stupid dog.:rotfl:

if its a wooden bed talc works on squeaky floorboards so that might work if puffed into the joints.
sorry but i think your neighbour is just jealous cos nothing is making her bed squeak;)

I haven't found out yet about the hairspray/polish thing, however, I have found this Handy Hints webpage which is quite interesting

    http://www.ecclesia.org/truth/hints.html

    My favourites so far:

Outrun Crocodile/Alligator. Run in a zig-zag pattern, and not just in one straight direction. When making left or right turns, the crocodile/alligator has to come to a crawl to move in that direction because of its short legs.

Outrun Bear. Run downhill. Because of its 2 short front legs, a bear has to crawl down a hill. It can run up a hill, or up a tree, but when going down, its center of gravity forces it to go slower.

Gorilla Attack. If a Gorilla runs after you, do not run! Simply do not stare at his eyes, and look at the ground, and humble yourself towards it. He will walk away.
