I couldn't cope with 5:2 so I have been following another version where I have no food until lunchtime, just black coffee & fruit tea during the morning, then eat my oats, berries, seeds & yoghurt for lunch & then meat & veg at tea time. I try to avoid eating after 8pm so my body is fasting for 16 hours. This is the first diet that has actually worked for me after 30+ years of struggling with my weight. I still have lots to lose, but am restarting on Monday (back to school & back to normal routine) and for once I am confident that I can lose weight this year.

Is this the 8-hour diet? Have also tried this one, but it is amazing how many calories it is possible to eat in any given 8hr period :D

You need to register here Rose...you can probably do enough quizzes to get a coupon but they are posted out and can take a couple of weeks:o

Thanks MD, just spent 5 minutes and ordered 3 vouchers!

Not sure what it is called, read it on my kindle ( as a freebie of course) there were 3 versions .......5:2, alternate day fasting and this daily 8:16hr one. I find once I am at work and busy, I don't feel hungry, then I eat my breakfast at lunchtime. I also take Natural Thyroid tablets which have kick started a metabolism that has been inactive for many, many years.
