Did you allocate yourself a full calorie allowance on non-fast days?
I didn't- I just had pretty much whatever I fancied for my main meal (without making a pig of myself ) . I tried to cut out (or at least minimise) snacking on biscuits and chocolate and also stuck to only one alcoholic drink per day on non fast days ie no extra glass while cooking ! For fast days I nearly always have a variation on a vegetable omelette in the evening - I really can' be bothered to faff about counting calories to cook anything else for my diet (it's bad enough having to cook DH a separate meal when I can't have any )ELITE 5:2

I hope you all sleep well.
How many empty freezer drawers do you have now? I just don't seem to be able to empty one shelf or drawer in one freezer let alone 3:A

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -

I didn't lose anything much for the first couple of weeks but then it started to come down steadily at around 2 lbs per week. I did do an extra fast day every couple of weeks if it looked like slowing down - i. Cheated a bit by weighing every day to keep a check on how it was going. It's probably worth having another go - after a week or two you should find that you want less to eat on your non fast days.
I couldn't cope with 5:2 so I have been following another version where I have no food until lunchtime, just black coffee & fruit tea during the morning, then eat my oats, berries, seeds & yoghurt for lunch & then meat & veg at tea time. I try to avoid eating after 8pm so my body is fasting for 16 hours. This is the first diet that has actually worked for me after 30+ years of struggling with my weight. I still have lots to lose, but am restarting on Monday (back to school & back to normal routine) and for once I am confident that I can lose weight this year.0 -
Hi,Those of you who signed up tonight, have you had email confirmations ?
As I haven't and am sure I got them straight away last time.
Silly me I closed the confirmation page before checking emails0 -
All this talk about names and what they are short for, reminds of the favourite joke of Morrisey (yes, that Morrisey).
A woman is telling her new boyfriend about her family.
"It's a tradition in our family," she tells him, "that we're all named after plants - that's why I'm called Lily. So, there's my older sister Daisy, my younger sister Poppy, my mother Rose, and my father Bob."
"But I thought you said you were all named after plants ... so what about your dad?"
"Oh, well, Bob is short for Rhubob."
