20% off iTunes vouchers in T - instore only - apparently was in I newspaper (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/20-off-itunes-voucher-tesco-only-instore-1779865) would buying £50 trigger the 150 bonus or would you need £60 given the 20% discount?

Not that I am suggesting anyone does this - as I would never find £50 to spend on iTunes!

Ah that's a pain. I always feel really stressed about letting people down.
In fact there was an article in the Independent today pretty much saying how it is the worst thing about my role.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/a-call-from-the-midwife-why-i-am-resigning-after-10-years-in-the-nhs-9035417.html

Despite recognising everything in the article I'm still really looking forward to heading back to work. Think I've got my rose tinted specs on ;) 2 and a half weeks to go! :D

Hopefully Avon will be a bit easier as the weather improves. Can't be pleasant out in the cold, wind and rain delivering catalogues.

    I bet you are. :)
The article is depressing read though, you can only stretch yourself so thin before something snaps
Hope your workplace is a better environment than this one mentioned.
It must be such a fullfilling job though. I'm honestly in awe about childbirth. To be part of such an intimate moment in someone's life is truly magical x

Congrats on the new arrival TS she kept you all waiting but bet she's a bundle of joy.

Just had a short siesta after lovely day here in Spain. Yesterday was light rain & sunny intervals. Today, really hot & sunny. We took a drive out to a couple of local villages & walked the dog then had lovely tapas in a friendly cafe. I sat in the shade but my feet were still burning!

Trying to keep up with the thread & although having a great time here I'm jealous of the glitches & bargains I'm missing out on.

Really hope the weather improves in Uk. A couple have come out here for a weeks break to escape. Hope Bubbs is not affected again by the floods & your Mr Shoes glitch (mega jammy good fortune lol) is in a safe place.

    Good wishes to all xx

I bet you are counting down the days! How long since you were last there?

Im returning to work on Monday after 3 mths off - spoke to my boss on new years eve and she suggested I return as a member of my team under the locum who has been covering for me, rather than to my role  Everyone in my team is furious, they've all said he creates more problems than he solves. So it'll be an interesting discussion on Monday. I understand her concern, that if my son gets worse or needs more treatment I'll need time off again, but I want my job back! (after 10 years of doing it, with no complains or disciplinaries)

My last shift was in May 2012  I finished then for my maternity leave.
I'm not going straight back into clinical work. I have a lot to update myself on so have a study week covering changes to policies, H&S, moving and handling, infection control, emergency drills etc. Then I have a supernumery phased return for 3 months where I'll be shadowing my colleagues and getting back up to speed and used to shift work again.

Maybe your boss was thinking she was supporting you by easing you back in gently rather than suggesting you weren't capable of returning straight to your post. Is it just going to be a temporary arrangement? I know i'd be bricking in if I was thrown straight back into where I left off. Best of luck with your meeting :)

Michael MacIntyre calls it the man draw,

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgUpDGAIdds

Yes I love this name. We used to have soo many odds and sods that we had 2 man drawers to fit it all in, however my BF decided to leave me 6 days before christmas so I have now cleared the man drawers and I can see drawer!!!! So now they are my woman drawers (which sounds a little odd).
