I just dashed to A to try the Fairy and there were no labels showing any offer or any bottles of Fairy at all.:(

However, with the schools starting back next week I got some nice cheapish items for the kids' packed lunches.

    Muller Kids Corners (4 pack) - £1
    Dairylea Dunkers (4 pack) - £1
    Dairylea Strip Cheese (4 pack) - 50p
    Aero Finesse (4 pack) - £1

Plonker:rotfl::rotfl: thats what i said no to fairy, but in the store i was at the 27 wash aerial was 3 for £10 but they only had one and i also asked, delivery was just being unloaded, so i went to other store they had loads but no 3 for £10 so i got them checked

My kitchen drawer-of-junk wouldn't shut today until I released a piece of cardboard stuck at the back - it was the cooking instructions for these fish things
We call it the busy drawer
Ours is the itsy bitsy drawer

"Do you have a 'busy drawer'? ... you know, the place you keep those nail clippers, rubber bands discarded by the Post Office, rolls of film waiting to be developed, batteries and fuses (used and unused), buttons, stamps, cassette tapes for the tape deck that no longer works, old foreign coins (some from defunct currencies), spare Hoover belts, cotton reels, jigsaw pieces retrieved from down the sofa, Elastoplast bandages, tweezers, magnifying glass, old cough sweets ... and so on."

(written by a colleague of mine, which prompted these memories...)

“After reading about the ‘busy drawer’ I went upstairs to sort mine out (I call it my 'messy drawer'), and this is what I found: odd curtain hooks, bits of string, clips with a hairnet not in a packet, odd buttons, typed labels cut from envelopes, small plastic packets containing an odd button and thread for urgent repairs from new garments, bits of ribbons cut from inside blouses or jumpers, spools from a sewing machine I used to have, bobbins with the odd length of cotton enough to sew a button on, elastic bands now perished and stuck together, odd paper clips which need to be nipped together with pliers before using, odd press-studs, a rubber with short bits of pencils already sharpened, blunt scissors which I can’t get my fingers into, half a packet of crepe paper, a small box with decorative bows for use on presents, odd sizes of safety pins stuck onto a magnet, a small pincushion, a darning mushroom with cards of mending wool, paper stapler and clips, crimping scissors and two pairs of plastic ones for children.
I’ve always believed in a place for everything and everything in its place. I’m not a hoarder. Just watch, the first thing I need I won’t be able to find.”

I need a glitch on a slow cooker
Worth keeping an eye on freecycle and similar; that's how I got my slow cooker. Or post a 'Wanted', see if anyone's having a clear-out or moving house.
They were on sale in Mr T at £12 before Xmas; looked like good value to me.

Afternoon all, wondered if anybody knows how the fresh cod from the fish counter works out on APG,

    T's 77p (5.50kg) approx weight 140g
