    Morning all!

Bright & sunny here at the moment but the wind is picking up and rain is forecast later. Hope everyone stays safe and has a great day! :)

    Good morning all
Ive decided that January is going to be a month of using up the things I have in the cupboards and freezer.
I had 2 large apgs £10+ and £13+. So yesterday I put £20 onto a gift card and bought a few whoopies n essentials. Thx to the OP who mentioned about the gift card bit.
This will be used for essentials throughout the month.
On my way out picked up a womble and its has 4.52 apg. This is one of my best yet. Well chuffed lol

So you CAN put APGs onto a gift card! Excellent.

Morning all. It was lovely to see my friend last night. It's been 3-4 years but he's exactly the same :) We promised not to leave it another 4 years, even though we live so far apart.

I came home in tears because the owner/manager of the pub where the gig was happening spoke to me so incredibly rudely within five minutes of me arriving. It put a dampner on the whole evening and I couldn't enjoy myself after that so I left before the end of the set. It's quite something to make someone feel that unwelcome before they've even taken their coat off and it's safe to say I'll never be returning.

Anyway! I'm off to Westfield later today to spend some Christmas money so hoping to shake it off. Would be nice to have a cheeky glitch today if you're listening faeries ;)

Just received an email from Sun+ inviting me to rejoin the Perks £1 trial and get a £10 T gift card. Check your emails! :T

Edit: So I've failed to achieve my third NSD of 2014. But £9 profit so I'm happy with that!

    Good morning one and all:D
    Can I ask a question... Pretty please:D
Having read many times about gammon in coke, would really like to know what it really tastes like:D:D
So... I have a slow cooker, I have a gammon joint and I have coke!
What do I do now? And if I put it in the slow cooker, will it be ready for tea time? (About 5pm in this house)

    Thanking you muchly xx
I cooked my gammon in the slow cooker with about an inch of coke at the bottom yesterday. I had it on low for about 6 hrs. It was cooked fine but a bit dry, probably due to the meat. I was a bit disappointed but will try again another day. My dh thought it was possibly overdone but I'd checked with a food thermometer & it was about 85c so I don't think so. Possibly I didn't cook it enough. Not much help but I'm pretty sure that's how others had said to cook it.

  • Good morning everyone
    Rainy and windy here
Came very close to knocking down a bloke on my way to work this morning,he just stepped out from behind a van, luck would have it, I was slowing down because there is a zebra crossing 50 yards down the road, well known in my area for people to just stepping out on it and not waiting for traffic to stop, obviously I woke him up when I slammed on and beep my horn, anyhow he decided it was my fault and started effing at me, I hate driving in the dark , no I just hate driving
Hope everyone else had a better start to their day, better get back to work or I will be in trouble

me to hun but dnt worry to much as he wasnt hit and it was his fault if he was :o im sure he knows not to step out from behind a van/car:mad:

my 5 year old dd has amazing road sense better than me:o so im sure an adult can

also if he had started t eff n blind at me i would have beeped even more at him and given him few choice words :o (proving no kids with me;) other wise just the horn

I always thought the trick was to submerge the joint? (Although I have never tried this so could be wrong, and also could be different in a slow cooker)

Honey and brown sugar make a nice glaze for gammon btw
