    Afternoon :)

Went to A's this morning after getting rid of HC (:j:j) As I was going in a lady was coming out with a trolley full and I mean a trolley full of wrapping paper. No ideal what the deal was.

I got a cancellation email from something I bought in a sale due to a stock error :( Had my eye on the item for over a year and now can only find it in stock and in my size and colour in Germany. That'll teach me to dither........

    New years resolution no 1

    Try to be more impulsive.......

Westie, just reading back and saw this. I don't suppose it's still in stock there, is it? If so, pm me. :)
    Hope is not a strategy.

    :DMorning Elite

Hope everyone's staying safe in this weather. Was blowing a gale near home, but all seems still and calm in Bristol (atm anyway)

It's weird isn't it? It's too calm for what they're panicking about in the press.

Think maybe they're over cooking it a bit in this neck of the woods. Apart from the portway being closed

    Good morning all
Ive decided that January is going to be a month of using up the things I have in the cupboards and freezer.
I had 2 large apgs £10+ and £13+. So yesterday I put £20 onto a gift card and bought a few whoopies n essentials. Thx to the OP who mentioned about the gift card bit.
This will be used for essentials throughout the month.
On my way out picked up a womble and its has 4.52 apg. This is one of my best yet. Well chuffed lol

Can you use APG to buy GC ekroys? Thanks:)
    Womble Total 2014 - £31.05

    APG Total for 2014 £297.12
    PP Total for 2014 £89.94
    Sealed Pot Challenge #293 for 2014 - £400 :)

I'd like to wish everyone a belated but sincere Happy New Year. I'd also like to thank all the wonderful people on here who post regularly & keep the thread going. It's a wonderful thread, amusing, caring & supportive as well as money saving. I lurk mostly as I'm not very good with the written word but talking's a different matter entirely!!
I thought some may find it useful to know in case you have the same problem. I went into M&S last night & picked up some reduced items totalling £25+. The till wouldn't accept my £5 off voucher so the supervisor did a 'layaway' & then I went to the food hall service desk where the till accepted it with no problem. Apparently it had happened a couple of times already. Both the supervisor & myself checked the t&c on the back of the voucher & it doesn't mention not to be used against reduced goods so no problem.
  • Good morning one and all:D
    Can I ask a question... Pretty please:D
Having read many times about gammon in coke, would really like to know what it really tastes like:D:D
So... I have a slow cooker, I have a gammon joint and I have coke!
What do I do now? And if I put it in the slow cooker, will it be ready for tea time? (About 5pm in this house)

    Thanking you muchly xx

I'm feeling thick this morning, so did you go through a till with a couple of items and buy a £20 gift voucher at the time using APGs to pay or did you ask CS to put APGs on a gift voucher?

We are already very close to the bank of the usk less than 200ft but it didn't breach the bank this side. Seems to have been pretty round by the old Sainsburys near town and in Caerleon. I was awake most of the night worrying, not looking forward to this evening when tide is up again.
