Thanks for the new thread Zippy.
Hope you manage to get something sorted out FloFlo. It sounds like an emergency to me.
We thankfully have heat again. The part we needed wasn't in stock, but the engineer has hard wired something (sorry not v technical) to make the radiators work. They just aren't talking to the thermostat controller so are all red hot. I can live with that0 -
Flo could you empty freezer to make it lighter and then push it to the other side and perhaps plug it in to an extension lead from a good dry socket ? May not be practical, but that's the best I can think of.zippydooda wrote: »put on super freeze for an hr. then switch it off for 8hrs no problem. just don't open it. also can it be reached with an extension lead from house to cool it down every so often
Will have to look if it has super freeze - passed on to us from MIL.
No dry sockets in the garage there is only that one.
I am debating whether to empty it and bring it in to kitchenwill have a nosey at forecast.

Can I ask for your help in deciding a debate that has been raging......and this is whether you can eat gammon with gravy.
I know it can be eaten with chips, salad, pineapple, egg etc. But do many of you also eat it hot with gravy as part of a roast dinner?
Mmm, have not tried with gravy, still need to try boiling it in coke :rotfl:

Happy Christmas Purdita:santa2:As far as how you eat your gammon is debatable I do not think there is a right or wrong way to have it.If you have it hot my preference would be with a white sauce or onion sauce. If you have it with turkey as a roast then I guess some people would have gravy :eek:0 -

And it ain't even bloody raining!
And I have to go and buy a bottle of prosecco now cos my sodastream still hasn't turned up an I need to make the jellies for my trifle tonight and was going to try the blue nun theory out *sigh*I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. We usually have onion sauce with gammon. You could always compromise and have onion gravy I suppose.0
